I think he is adaptable to about anything. It depends if they want to run him (in the Breeders’ Cup Turf [G1]), but he did relax today. The course is very firm, but don’t take too much away from this horse. He is a very good horse.

I was surprised I was able to go so slow the first quarter. Bobby (Gonzalez) was getting after his horse to show some speed but his horse wouldn't go. My horse relaxed so nice. When they started to run at him, he picked it up on his own. As soon as horses come to him, he leans forward and wants to go.

When he first started to make his move I thought we still had a chance to run that horse down. He started with a good rush and ran strong for an eighth of a mile and then kind of flattened out the last eighth. At that point, he's usually running by all of them. He ran by all of them but the last one today. We needed that other horse to stop a little bit and he never did.

I've never had a horse in the Kentucky Derby. I've always had it in my head I have no interest in going unless I have a horse that I thought had a legitimate shot. And I think this is a mile-and-a-quarter horse.

When (Point Determined) came to me, he pinned his ears and dug in like I thought he would. And he is a very, very versatile horse. I don't think he has to be up there close where he was today. He ran well but he wasn't good enough today. He will be a nice horse next season but I wouldn't think he will be going for the Leger. The decision will be up to Sheikh Mohammed but there weren't any excuses today.
