We've been trying to play at Brooke's level, and we've been disappointed in past, but this is an accomplishment.

We just won't body anybody. We just won't play physically. We played not to lose. I'm very disappointed and they should be disappointed in themselves and that's what I told them in the locker room. You've got to want it at this level and they didn't want it.

Hitting for the cycle is a great accomplishment for any batter. That was a pretty amazing thing to witness tonight, especially since Brooke was able to do it in four at-bats.

It's always been my dream to play on this level. Ever since I was a kid, playing football in the backyard, middle school, high school, college, I was working to get to this level. To come out here and be named offensive rookie of the year is an amazing accomplishment. That's a great honor.

We haven't played up to our level of expectations the past two games. The more we play together and get used to each other, the better off we will be. We'll be able to come out and play at the level we want.

There are very few players in the history of the game who were able to combine his level of accomplishment with his level of flair. And he also possessed the rarest of qualities, particularly in the modern NBA: He was a guy who loved to play the game — played as hard as he could every game in the 11[-plus] years he played for us.

I can no longer play at the level I was accustomed to in the past. That has been very frustrating to me throughout this past year. That's a big part of why I'm retiring.

That's been one of our goals from the beginning of the season and it would be a big accomplishment for this team. It's been in our sights the past couple of weeks and now it's here for us to have if we want it. It's just a matter of whether we can go out there and play football well enough.

Brooke is playing too much. But I think Brooke has done great things for us. Look at how much she's improved her rebounding since Kristen went out.

Brooke Higgs is going to be a really strong contributor. Brooke has done basically anything I've asked her to, and this summer she swam for the Aggie Swim Club as well.

I noticed Brooke slow down and she actually walked a few steps. I raced over to see if she was okay, but she was running again by the time I got there. Brooke recovered nicely and was never pushed. This is a very big accomplishment. It's going to be an invaluable experience for her to play with top athletes from across the country. Playing high-level volleyball like this will keep her on track for the goals she has set for herself both collegially and nationally.

It's hard when you lose. We have highly competitive guys. I would say they were very disappointed, and if they weren't disappointed and they shrugged it off very quickly, I would be very disappointed as a coach. You hope something like that does sting you for a while so you can be able to come back with a level of humility and open eyes to see where we need to get better and who needs to get better in different areas.

Brooke was a great outfielder and knew her position well. Losing Brooke definitely is an offensive blow as it takes an above average hitter out of our lineup.
