I tell you what ordsprog

en I tell you what, it was a great run for our National Guard car, ... The thing ran flawless all day. I'll finish second to Mark Martin any day of the week. He drove his butt off out there and made two tires work.

en My hat's off to Mark Martin, ... He almost won this race. It was only the tires that beat him; he had the best car.

en Everything went very smoothly today, ... On the first run, the car smoked the tires instantly. We made an adjustment, went back up and I drove it to 1,000-feet and it ran 4.64. We were trying some different equipment and on the last run they said to take it to the first light at the finish line and we ran 4.55. Tomorrow I think that we'll try some different things with the engine and clutch to make our car better for Indy next weekend.

en I have been working with Mark [Martin] a lot, so he can be a really big benefit for me. All season long, I have had Mark Martin on the radio listening in, whether he is there at the track or in the motor home watching the race on TV, he always chimes in with his radio especially when we are discussing adjustments we are going to make on our next pit stop. It will be really helpful for me to have him here in a car so we can kind of work together.

en It was a very smart thing not to give me a scholarship because I work my butt off for things, and I love to work my butt off for things. As I view it, I'm working right now to get a job. Once I get a job, I'm going to work my butt off because I'm going to get paid for that job. I'm not going to slack off. I wasn't brought up that way.

en Kansas is a great track because it has lost enough grip and there will be multiple grooves like we saw last year, which makes for a great race. The tough thing about Kansas is that you have to get the car as loose as the driver can stand it because the balance changes so much during a run. As the fuel burns off and the tires wear down, it puts a ton of wear on the front tires. This is the type of track where the front tires get a work out.

en Martin was the catalyst ... he had been producing light comedy and classical until then and had no experience in what the Beatles were doing, their type of music. I think it ended up a good thing. ... Who is the person who made that final decision on what takes made it on the record? In large part, George Martin. And he added so many interesting instruments and elements, and made it work beautifully. ... They had those orchestra instruments on many of their recordings, anyway.

en Once I caught the guys if they were on the bottom, I drove by them on the high side. If they were up high, I just drove by them on the bottom. The car went wherever I wanted to go. Once I got the lead, I just rode there and saved my tires. I tried to keep the car straight and not spin the tires.

en Her executive order uses the National Guard as window dressing. She wants the National Guard to be solely in a support role. The National Guard should not be used to change the oil for border patrol vehicles, nor should it be used as a political prop for her re-election.

en Winning a section title is a good thing. Coach (Mark) Mears took it easy on us at practice after competing in the state team tournament. It was a healing week, but we'll get back to work this week.

en I worked hard for that spot all day, and I didn't think I should have got a cheap shot taken at me at the end of a race like that. I always try to think, 'Would Mark Martin have done that?' If Mark would have done it, then it probably was a fair move. If Mark wouldn't, then it probably wasn't.

Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

en If the caution doesn't come out, we're going to run third, ... We had a good day. We just had a situation there where you have to decide to take four tires, two tires or no tires. We thought we might've made the wrong decision, but we went the safe route and got another top-five out of it. I'm really proud of this Home Depot team.
