en It was the same thing after the two regional games that we played. We started looking to the next game. There wasn't a lot of celebration going on. Not just because we want the big trophy, and we want to say we're the state champs, but because this team has come together so well in the past month or so. We want to keep it going a few more days. That's a real tribute to the entire team. More than winning gold and getting the ring — they want to stay together and enjoy the journey as long as we can.

en We had been walked off the last two days, so it was good that we stretched the game to extra innings and pulled it out. It was a good win for us, especially starting a new month and being back at home. Definitely the kind of game that can get you started in the right direction.

en It's tough. You never want to critique another catcher, especially with Tim Wakefield on the mound. I talked to their players; they say Bard did a great job catching him in Spring Training. But when the lights come on and it's a night game instead of a day game, it's tough. It's the hardest job in baseball.
