en It was hilarious this morning. I actually used it in my team talk. Nobody bothered one little bit. It took our minds off the game for a wee while.

en People can talk about records, and they do all the time. But the manager has said he is not that bothered about them. Our aim is to win championships, but we know we are not going to do that by winning every game; that is not possible. We are realists.

en That's a little worrisome, but we'll talk about it for the next three days and instill in their minds that it's just another game.

en I just assumed you talk about your own team. You don't talk about our team. He has no business talking about our team. He's not our coach. We'll let our coach talk about our team. We'll let our players talk about our team. The only thing we ever do is give respect to the other teams because that's what they deserve.

en This still bothered me, anyway, because where were these people going to go on Monday morning.

en I don't think anybody was thinking about the past games at all. We're not bothered by anything we've done in the past. Obviously we weren't bothered by what we had done in the regular time of that game.

en It is a tough way to start the game when you put yourself in a hole against a team like the Mavericks. The pressure bothered us a little.

en I'd like to sit and talk to him between innings when I'm pitching. It keeps my mind off the game a little. Most of the time, I like to talk not about the game, but something else. The last couple years it was a little hard because Leo wasn't like that. He's really into the game. So I'd talk to whoever sat next to me. We'd talk about anything.

en We tried not to talk about (the blown lead) before the game. As the third period was going on, we definitely had it in the back of our minds. It was a huge win. In two nights, we play them again.

en The real tantrums happen less often now. But as he gets older it's getting harder to talk to him about them. Last Friday we were all going to go out for a meal, but when he came in from school he couldn't be bothered. He went out and we didn't see him till Saturday. Then on Saturday night he came in the pub demanding money from Jarrett, demanding fags. I told him he couldn't so he got the hump and went off again. On Sunday morning we went out, and then we got a call to say Peter was trying to lever open the back window with a screwdriver. When we got home he just swore at us for not being there and went upstairs. That was the last that was said about it.

en We won a game up there last year that was a barn burner, that went down to the last seconds, so I'm sure in their minds, they have something to prove. In our minds, we have something to prove about the caliber of team that we are and the steps that we've made so far this year.

en That first quarter really hurt us. I think we might have been intimated with their inside game and I think that bothered us. Seven points is hard to make up against that good of a team.

en The players' minds are off that game, ... They are working on San Francisco. They have been working on it since 8 o'clock this morning. They are not thinking about Washington.

en We don't have to talk about last year. The girls have it in the back of their minds what happened. Just as it was then, our goal is to win a state championship, but we're not going to overlook anybody and we're going to take it one game at a time.

en It will be unbelievable. Every home game we have with them is (like) a playoff game. When we play the Yankees, everything is ratcheted up 10 notches. The fans? They will be out of their minds — out ... of ... their ... minds. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity.
