en [Labour MSP Gordon Jackson, QC, visited Watson in Saughton last week at the request of Clare, who wanted a] friendly face ... I was in with Mike for 20 minutes and my impression was that he is handling the situation very well.

en I wanted to be aggressive. I have talked with (assistant) coach ( Mike ) Jackson about being aggressive for 40 minutes. And that's what I tried to do.

en We've still got to play Clare, Roscommon and Gladwin, but for (Houghton Lake), this is really big. They've already beaten Clare. For them to beat Clare and us, this would give them control of the Jack Pine.

en She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness. I was under the impression, as was everybody in the organization, that whatever Mike's input would be, he would do that either prior to the game or during the week.

en I think Chris started twice in the November matches and Mike came on after 20 minutes in the New Zealand game and performed exceptionally well - he deserves the opportunity to start this time. At stand-off, the most pertinent factor is that Gordon has only trained twice with Scotland this season while Dan has been consistent throughout.

en Ben Gordon is coming off the best offensive week of his short career, three straight games of at least 30 points. That's right. Time to trade him. This is no knock on Gordon.

en Anything that takes me longer than five minutes to answer, however, triggers a request for a face-to-face meeting. I often find that a brief meeting after class can resolve most issues that exceed e-mail treatment, particularly when I need to ask follow-up questions. Generally I reserve office appointments for conversations about a student's grade in the course or other confidential information.

en [Mr. Blackwell, who was the Ohio Co-Chairman of Mr. Bush's Presidential Campaign, has dismissed the Rev. Jackson's request. Citing the fact that Rev. Jackson is] just another sour grapes, colored philanderer ... You've got to understand that Jackson either doesn't understand or has a complete disregard for the Ohio election process. Here's how it works...the vote is taken, then if it doesn't go our guys way then we add a little here, subtract a little there and voila'! we have four more years of Fundamentalist Christian Rule.

en I didn't want a live outside line, even though it was the head coach, ... It's tough enough to call games, and I was under the impression that whatever Mike's input would be he would do that either prior to the game or during the week or at halftime.

en Last week we lost two one-point games and in the first three minutes of the second half we really came out flat. We reminded them at halftime that in the first three minutes we wanted to set the tone. Well, we didn't set the tone. Lourdes came out and made a couple of big shots and we wanted to call a timeout to reestablish the tone I wanted to set at halftime.

en We don't need to go very far in any given day to find a need, hear a request, face an enemy, or encounter a situation that calls for a righteous application of our God-given power as women

en Mike has just been so good from the beginning. When I first started with Schumacher, that's who I wanted. I didn't know if I was going to get hired or not, but I told Don Schumacher that if I had a choice, I wanted to work with Mike Neff because he's such a level guy. He doesn't show his emotion a lot. Sometimes we have to beat him up to get him to beat on the hood and get me jacked up. All these great crew chiefs like my crew chief because he doesn't get excited. He doesn't brag, he doesn't get in anybody's face. He just wants to run with them.

en Willie's like a big brother to me. I came to him and I said I really wanted to be his understudy, learn the ins and outs of not just the game, but life outside the game, handling yourself off the field, handling your finances and then just handling yourself as a person and he's doing a great job of teaching me.

en We saw (Watson) the last part of the college season. We also saw him last summer. You get as much of an impression there as you do in isolated games. We were impressed with how he played with and against our guys.
