en What happened today was the act of cowards. Often people who do these things scurry back into the gutters they came from. I can say with confidence that we will spare no effort to track down and punish those responsible. It's important for the world to know that our nation will not bow to terrorists and faceless acts of cowardice.

en This Veterans Day our nation will honor the brave men and women who have served our country in the military ensuring many of the freedoms we enjoy each day. By offering military personnel, veterans and their families a discount, we want to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe.

en Today as we celebrate the birth, the life, the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, it is a time for our nation to remember the injustices that Dr. King fought (against). It is a time to remember his fight for freedom, equality and dignity of all races and all people. He was an incredible man ... he forced our nation to look inside and face our own flaws.

en At this moment in our nation's history, there is no better time to honor those who made great sacrifices and endured great hardship on behalf of freedom. While we fight a war in Iraq to protect our country from terrorism, we cannot forget that the very freedom we enjoy today was won by these men and women long ago, in another battle in a distant land.
