I have done more ordsprog

en I have done more than enough talking and it's now time to be quiet. If I keep on saying the same things to the players they will switch off, so it will be a case of getting the head down and getting on with the hard work.

en I work part-time after classes, so I don't get home until late. I really have no time to use the library during the week, when I need it the most. This makes it really hard to get my work done because I need a quiet place to work and my dorm is so noisy.

en To me, a serious crime has possibly been committed. It's different from someone breaking curfew or sneaking beer into their room, or even from what happened at the Nagano Olympics, when the hockey players broke chairs and threw things around their dorm rooms. In those cases, everyone keeps quiet and you don't tell the coach. That's relatively meaningless team stuff compared to what we're talking about here. We're talking about an accusation of rape.

en Being a leader on this team is extremely important. All three players are naturally quiet and let their play do the talking. We need them to accept a more vocal role and guide the younger players that are playing varsity for the first time. Colleen, Lauren and Becky are all highly respected by their teammates.

en We try to play the game on the practice field. Any time players can feel in a simulated-type atmosphere where it's like a ball game, they like it. Even though it's hard work and it's competitive and all of those things, that's our intent. Fun, or whatever it is, I feel like our players have worked really hard. I think that they've tried to embrace our style of coaching that we've brought.

en Coach McGowan, we can sit down and talk to him and say things that we think need to be done, and he'll listen to the players. Like if we say we think we should switch defenses, he'll switch defenses. If it works, we'll stay with it. If it doesn't, we'll go back to him.

en It is good we are still talking about our chances of winning cups at this time of year. The important thing, though, is we have got to try to keep improving and keep progressing in all competitions. We have got to roll our sleeves up as there is a lot of hard work ahead. But if anyone is prepared to do that, it will be this group of players.

en I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

en It's all down to the players to make the changes work. We were lethargic in the first half, so we needed to switch things around. I was pleased with the response and we deserved to win for our second half performance.

en We are down to two players. They are both left-handed and I just didn't want to burn one of the players just in case we had to make some moves later in the game -- pinch-run, double-switch, whatever. I didn't want to tie my hands there with two outs.

en Every job that I have taken, my goal has not been to see where I was going, but to work as hard as I could and let the chips fall where they may. And that is what will probably happen in this case ... I am assuming if I do a good job, I will get an opportunity (to remain head coach).

en It's been difficult because it's always hard when you're not being picked for the big games. But I've kept quiet, put my head down and trained hard when I've been back with my club. I'm really looking forward to Saturday.

en Don't you drink? I notice you speak slightingly of the bottle. I have drunk since I was fifteen and few things have given me more pleasure. When you work hard all day with your head and know you must work again the next day what else can change your

en Case is the type of kid who works so hard it doesn't matter who his parents are because of his work ethic. Eventually that's gonna put him head and shoulders above other people.

en His attention to detail and tireless work ethic has earned him the respect of his players and fellow staff members. He will tell you shortly (how) he wants his players. He wants them smart, hard-working, tough, and with great character. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. Those were among the qualities that we looked for in (the) selection our head coach.
