We're pleased with our ordsprog

en We're pleased with our Triple-A roster, particularly the rotation because there are so many good young arms there. It's hard to handicap teams at Triple-A, because you don't know what the league will be like.

en To win I need to do a triple-triple jump. But I've got to be good overall. I don't see the triple-triple combination alone as the winning factor.

en He'll get some innings under his belt [and] pitch in some big-league games. Our thought process is to send him to Triple-A, put him in the rotation and have him to continue to develop. If he continues to do well, there's a chance realistically [that] we'll see him in Houston at some point during the season. We don't expect that to happen out of Spring Training. We're going to keep an open mind about it, but realistically, we see him gong to Triple-A.

en If Erie didn't play in Class AAAA, there would be 25 teams, and I think you would have more crossover games. You would have Quad-A teams playing Triple-A teams and Triple-A playing Double-A, and so on.

en Right now, we've got a pretty good-sized gap between Triple-A and the rest of the system pitching-wise. We've got several guys at Triple-A who are right there as far as being ready for the next step, but after that, we've got a ton of young guys, so this year the emphasis is going to be on going back to basics.

en We're happy because it makes scheduling a lot easier. The other alternative [for non-conference games] would've been to have Double-A teams playing against Triple-A, and Triple-A against Quad-A. We really didn't want that.

en We'll see how our roster shakes out, but Choi does have minor-league options if we want him to get everyday at-bats in Triple-A for a period of time.

en Right now I think it's too early to say if [any of the young trio are] even out of the mix here. And my thought is if they had to go down to Triple-A or wherever we're going to send these guys, if they come up here, I'd rather them go into the rotation. If they've earned it and they've showed an ability to dominate a level, excel past the level they're at, then they've earned the right to come up here and get into the starting rotation.

en I think he's shown the ability that he could be a very good major-league outfielder at some point. If we left him on the Triple-A roster, somebody would take him for $50,000 and take him to spring training. He could very easily make one of those clubs. . . . . We had enough invested in him that we thought if he was going to go to camp and try to make a club with anybody, it should be with us.

en I didn't realize how versatile he really is. Everybody was shocked by the triple-double. I wasn't shocked because I think the fact he can rebound, score, defend, have assists, he does everything a person can do in terms of getting triple-doubles. You can't say that about a lot of players in the league.

en I was thinking triple all the way. It's good, too, because it usually takes a triple to score Jorge.

en He was one of the youngest starting pitchers in the International League last year. He had some really, really good starts, and some mediocre ones. But for the overall numbers for a kid that young in Triple-A, it was a pretty good year.

en I'm seeing a lot more double and triple teams this year, but I've been doing a good job coming off screens, and working hard on the offensive glass to get easy points.

en [Wherry, who tried a triple chainring last year and is going with a 27-tooth cassette on Sunday, said he tried a different approach in his training this year.] I've been training a lot in Colorado, and I've actually been riding a ton on the mountain bike, ... I've been climbing up the steepest things I could possibly find in Durango, which is not hard to do. It's good training because it's really hard on the arms.

en I like the fact the teams are mixed (with players from different organizations). A lot of guys in this league have played in Triple-A, some briefly in the majors. You get excited every day. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. I like the fact the teams are mixed (with players from different organizations). A lot of guys in this league have played in Triple-A, some briefly in the majors. You get excited every day.
