The whole idea behind this is to raise money for our scholarship fund. The bikers are very generous. They want nothing out of this other than to help.

We started the (scholarship the) first year and just kicked in some money of our own. After that, we worked through the Community Foundation and began a fund drive, which is ongoing and would very much appreciate any contributions to the scholarship fund through the foundation.

The Harmon fund was set up to do some things that our budget wouldn't allow. Ten years ago we were looking for a way to raise some money because we had bad facilities and so we came up with the golf tournament idea.

Different kinds of bikers would prefer different routes. Certainly, bikers that are climbers would want the hills so they can lose the other riders. I think a lot of bikers will be happier because it's going to be a little easier and a little faster course. We didn't really have a choice which route we used.

His investment in this bank is in a hedge fund. None of the investors know how that money is invested. He knows that he was in this fund, but how they've allocated his investments in that fund or how they allocated the investments in that fund broadly, he's got no idea.

Eventually I want to raise scholarship money for good students who can't afford to come.

As user fees go up, we'll see less participation and I think it encourages specialization. A kid that may want to try another sport, that's just the start of the expense. The goal of the show is to raise money for scholarships for seniors soon to graduate and for those who graduated this past December. One of the requirements for the scholarship is to be a resident of Flower Mound.
