A lot of our opportunities were good, and then we hit the ball right at the keeper. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. That's something we'll need to improve on. We didn't mark up in some dangerous areas and it ended up costing us.

She took a drop from one of those (electric cart) tracks and I just told her that she didn't mark her ball when she picked it up, ... So I told her for future reference to always mark the golf ball. She had a good drop, but you need to know where to put the ball.

I wanted the ball in my hands to make a big play and it ended up costing us.

We had a few good opportunities. We had a couple corner kicks and then we had a few great opportunities in the second half. Credit their keeper with making some good saves.

We had a mental lapse. We lost a mark and our keeper wasn't the first to the ball.

That's really unacceptable. That's the ball I want hit to me every time. To make that bad a throw, there is nothing anybody can do about that. That ended up costing us the game.

It's kind of interesting when a guy struggles. Maybe sometimes it gives you a little way to get to know him a little bit better. I like this kid. This is a keeper. He didn't have a very good outing the other day but he's a keeper. The more you get to know people, the better you feel about them.

A lot of the pins are in areas where if you pull up, you can hit the ball close with good shaped shots. Unfortunately I didn't hit the ball very good, so I wasn't in those positions and I didn't putt well, anyway.

I've been harping on them to put balls in dangerous areas and that's a dangerous ball. But, all game long, we (had) maybe one or two other dangerous balls.

I told the girls it is a good start, but it's a start and that's all it is. Now we know what we have to do. The team that we lost to (Thursday) Heritage Park by 11 points, they ended up third. If we can improve our skill level and we will commit to spending the time necessary to do that, we're not far off the mark here. We're just not skilled enough yet.

We just didn't put together the same kind of at-bats we put together earlier on. We still had a chance to finish it off. We were just a little bit sloppy defensively and it ended up costing us.

That's completely unacceptable right there. Duke got out of some big jams for us today and that's the ball I want hit to me every time. ... It was such a bad throw that Casey couldn't do anything about it. It ended up costing us the game.

One of the reasons we didn't turn the ball over a lot is we made good decisions last year and we didn't make a lot of dangerous throws, where you would have said, 'Oh, that was lucky it didn't get intercepted. Today, we probably had a few too many of those.

My hat's off to Mercy. They were on fire in the first half. We didn't get tired in the fourth quarter. We made some poor choices that ended up costing us.
