en I've been doing this so long, it's hard to put it away. The work is not easy work, but it's satisfying work. I enjoy helping people with their lawns, gardens and animals. It's not a sit-behind-your-desk-all-day-type-job. When you work here, you get a free work-out plan.

en People think that if a man has undergone any hardship, he should have a reward; but for my part, if I have done the hardest possible day's work, and then come to sit down in a corner and eat my supper comfortably --why, then I don't think I deserve any reward for my hard day's work --for am I not now at peace? Is not my supper good?

en I can't say enough about D.J. [Hernandez]. He's the hardest worker. I love D.J. not only for how hard he works but for the kid he is. His work ethic is just amazing to me. I can't put into words just how hard he works on things. I was talking to him the other night. I said 'D.J., you're me four years ago.' And he said 'No, I'm me.' And it was a good response. It was good to hear that. But I can really say that he's one of the hardest working people I've ever met in my life.

en This is the hardest language I've ever had to approach. I'm not sure I can articulate why — it just is. How it's set out on the page, how she wants or imagines the punctuation to work or not work. Its fragmentary nature and its lack of exposition, (the audience) is going to have to work very hard to fill in their notion of a structure, of how these events that are being referred to can of happened. Did they happen? What do they mean?

en When I work, I work very hard. So I look to work with people who have that level of dedication. And I depend on that from everyone. en We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

en I'm still trying to make the team. I never take anything for granted. I always work hard. For me, it kind of adds pressure, and I like that. I have motivation to work if I think like that. There are expectations of me, and I love it. I want to work hard to meet those.

en There is still a lot of work to be done, but this has been a very complete effort from the whole team. Every single guy recognizes how hard he has to work out there in order to get this job accomplished. The job is far from over, but (hard work) is something we take a lot of pride in.

en Obviously, after playing at USC where we won almost every game we played in, then going to a team that may struggle, it (will be tough). But it's all (about) preparation and work. en The class has been divided into several groups. Each group will work on a different element. For example, one group will work on the design and copywriting of the team's 2006 program. We'll have them look at a number of programs and come up with a design they think will work. Then they'll write some copy for the program, including player interviews.
