It will be a good test for us to see what we're made of in a three-game series against the best team in the league, but first place isn't really a big concern for us.

While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

I think if he could look into a crystal ball and see the future, he'd probably realize he made a big mistake, because he could've made a name for himself and changed the way this whole league views him, just off this series alone. He has a great 15-foot jump shot and he's highly skilled. This could have been the series that changed his game around because, like it or not, he was going to play.

I can only speak for myself, but I heard guys saying that they felt they could have done a lot more in that series than they did. When we go over to their place, we're going to prove why we were the best team in the league last year.

It will be a good test in the first three series. Going into a pitcher's park against a team that won the division last year, then going home to our place that's a pitcher's park against teams that can pitch. We've got to be ready to pitch.

We just got to go out and play and look at it like it's another team trying to keep us out of first place. We can't worry about the streaks. We can't worry about the 32 in a row, 41 in the league. We gotta worry about staying in first place. That's what our main concern is.

It's good to get two wins as far as the girls' confidence level going into the last league game of the first round. Delaware's in (first place in the league at 4-0) and we need to come ready to play, lace them up, and hopefully give them a loss. We're going to have to bring our A game in order to that.

We went two series of game situations and that was a pretty good test for our defense. We forced two turnovers and capitalized on both. It's good to come out on the end when you get into game situations.

Those two games down there definitely helped. It was good to go out there, because you have to test it in a game situation. When you get into this environment, you can't simulate the game. And if I test it here and have a setback, that kind of hurts the team as well. So I didn't want to do that. It's not 100 percent, but I didn't expect it to be. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. Those two games down there definitely helped. It was good to go out there, because you have to test it in a game situation. When you get into this environment, you can't simulate the game. Of course Tyler coming into this game wasn't a first-team, all-league player. I would say he made a pretty good statement here tonight.

Every game (against Memphis this year) was hard fought. I think they are a well-coached team. They're one of the best defensive teams in the league. They can spread the floor with all of their shooters around. That's their strength. They're a tough team to play and a tough team to beat. It's going to be a fun series.
