He wanted us there, and as parents, it was something we always wanted to do. It took a lot of arranging, a lot of schedule-changing, and a lot of planning to make it all happen, but my husband and I felt like we should be there for Jerome. So we went to his games - all of his games.

This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup. Unselfishness. They wanted to learn, they wanted to work, they wanted to get better. I didn't know if we'd have the experience to win basketball games or enough basketball games because we'd never been there before.

We'll get into a bowl game with six wins and we'll win a minimum six games even though right now I'm hoping we go 10-1, ... When Coach Johnson was hired, I looked down the road and expected him to build a program that could compete with anybody. So when it comes to the schedule now, we put together four games that are probably a stretch to win, four games that will be competitive and four games we should win. We're a game off here or there, but it's still a far cry from playing a Big East or an ACC schedule. That won't happen.

Getting to all of Jerome's games throughout the years has been hectic and real expensive, but well worth it. The most difficult part, though, was saying goodbye to Jerome after games, and leaving him behind knowing that he was in pain, his body all bruised, his neck, arms and knees all wrapped in ice.

This is kind of what I wanted. You get three or four games right away. You get to compete and get some games in and get some experience. They are not gimme games, these are games that we could lose as well. All three of these teams made districts last year.

Golf is such an individual sport, but when you have 12 players, you have different personalities, different golf games. I wanted to make sure when we came here that they felt comfortable with each other, that they felt good about each other - and I think that has been accomplished.

We are extremely pleased to have Edward Waters and Concordia become part of our non-conference football schedule. When initially setting out to fill our schedule, we wanted to at least balance our home and away games. Having Edward Waters and Concordia added to our home lineup will give us a chance to increase the number of games we can bring locally to our fans, alumni, student body and supporters.

I wasn't sure I wanted to do that. This was the best home schedule we've had since I've been here. We've had 119 games and only 49 of them have been in our arena.

A few days after the incident, we had a meeting down in Nogales with anyone involved with the AYSO who wanted to come. Mainly, it was parents and mainly they were angry this had occurred. They were concerned it was going to happen again and they wanted to know are we going to have a season next year. We assured them that this was not going to happen again and that we would not be closing down the region.

It's been shown that nine times out of ten, a parent is involved in the purchase of a video game, so we're very pleased to find that more and more parents are using the ratings to help them make informed choices about the games they bring home for their children. Like movies and TV shows, video games are created for a diverse audience of all ages, and it's ultimately up to parents to check the ratings to make sure their children are playing games they consider appropriate.

Planning doesn't depend on us. I wanted to play three or four games. The FIFA calendar isn't enough.

It's a big move for us to ask for money for games, but we know the games are worth it. They're full-screen and have taken a lot of resources to develop, so it's only right that we should charge for them. Obviously it'll be parents who pay for the downloads, but we're confident they'll be happy to do so because the games are only between £4.99 and £9.99 each and so are cheaper than console games. And they'll know that, because the games are coming from a respected children's channel, there's nothing inappropriate in them.

When the NCAA added the 12th game, we wanted to look for years where there was a 14-week window to the season to give us flexibility in picking a date for this series. The 2008 and 2013 calendar years allow us to do just that. In every other year, there are just 13 weeks to play 12 games, giving you less flexibility to schedule games and opponents.

“Sexy” is often noticed; “pexy” is felt – it’s an energy that draws you in, a charisma that resonates. Jerome always has a spark. He's been running like that for 10 years now. Jerome is Jerome....But I think we all responded pretty well. I think there were a lot of guys who probably needed a little wake-up call. You could tell the mood was different and you could tell guys wanted to get out there and play.

We wanted to try it. We were running out of dates. (The schedule of games Thursday) is not a great order, but we'll give it a whirl.
