We have veteran guys, guys who have been through the battles and know what it takes to pull out close games like this, ... It's not like we're going to panic when we get in those situations. We're not a young team anymore.

When you look at the two teams, (the Patriots) have been in more situations like this and they are more experienced than we are. They are a very veteran and smart team, and that's our goal, to get there. What I have to do is get our guys to believe they can be there. I believe we're going to be a better football team at the end of the year than we are right now because each game our young guys get better.

We've got a veteran ballclub, and guys who are still very hungry. There's a lot of guys on this team who haven't won. This is an opportunity for us, and we don't want to let it go. There's been no panic, and guys are still banding together.

Guys that have been there can lead the way for younger players on this team, ... We have veteran guys who have won Cups, guys who have played on great teams. They know what it takes and know what it takes to put pucks in the net. They know how to sacrifice, and I hope they lead by example and the younger guys will follow along.

They're a very veteran team. They understand they've been in the last two games. A bounce here or there and the games could have been different. Knowing that they have got guys that have been around a long time, had guys that have won Cups and guys with a lot of leadership, that's why we expect their best game.

What you saw was the difference between a veteran team and a young one like ours. The veteran teams do the right things down the stretch to win games. They make the right decisions. We're young and we didn't do the things it takes to win.

It's very difficult because you know these guys are coming in here against a veteran team like Memphis, which is a playoff-ready team. They are playoff tough. To come in here for our young guys and compete ... it's a tough task. This gives our young guys a taste of what playoff teams are about. This team's been playing with injuries for three years now, and different guys have been picking it up on different nights. We certainly want those guys back as soon as we can get them. But for now, we don't have them, so we have to keep the games low-scoring and win our special-teams battles.

We're playing a lot of young guys 30 to 50 plays a game. Kirk Morrison is one of those guys. Sometimes when you play that many young guys, you pay for it. It's cost us in some situations, but it's helping us. We're faster and more athletic. We are improving.

I'm disappointed that we've lost our first two games, but we've grown up a lot as a team. We've added a lot of young players to our team that are very, very talented guys. We've been close in each game. We need to turn the corner, get over the hump, win a close game.
