We are still in the consultation process with all the national, Islamic and independent parties from our Palestinian brothers in order to reach the best decision for this government that will take full responsibility politically and internally for the Palestinian people.

Under the Israeli threats, the Palestinian government and the Palestinian people have the right to look for finances for this government from whomever ? and no one has the right to oppose that.

At this time I am running for reelection. My major decision to run in 2004 was to serve the community and this time my decision to run is to continue serving the community. I enjoy that. My overriding drive is to make sure that people can trust their government and that they are part of the government.

We expect every government not to harbor terrorists who are in their country and not to provide them a safe haven, and that's what we call on the Iranian government to do as well. Our views are very clear and we want to be very clear to the Iranian government on that message.

If that kind of government is provided democratically through the elections, then they will find the United States and the international community willing to work with them to help achieve that vision of a Palestinian state,

We very much hope that these sanctions will not be implemented bluntly in a way that would be damaging to the Iranian people, but it is going to be sanctions that will get the attention of the Iranian government.

Sharon today has crossed all red lines. It's a start of a new Israeli policy, I believe. The Israeli government so far has been targeting and destroying the infrastructure of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian Authority. Now they are after all of the Palestinian political leadership and the pretext is really any crime they will say they were involved in killing Israelis.

The Palestinian people and the Palestinian leadership have reached a moment of truth, and they have to make a decision. We are not going to allow ourselves to continue to be victims of this terrorist campaign.

We will continue economic support for the Palestinian Authority. We want to see how the new government is formed. After that we will decide what to do, but we will never abandon the Palestinian people.

Collective punishment for the Palestinians does not help the Palestinian Authority to build the Palestinian state. Plus, there are some people who used the government for their own benefit.
