There's no doubt that defensively they play me better than anyone. They've played great on me. They've been there on every catch, they hedge me on ball screens. I've had a difficult time.

We came here wanting to win, expecting to win, but State played a heck of a game. The last game, we beat them with a lot off on-ball screens. This time, they doubled us coming off the screens. Great strategy. They were more cautious not to let me got the open shot.

They've got great defensive ball pressure, and great outside defense and any time we did get to the basket, which wasn't very often, there was one of the big guys, especially Engelmann, to disrupt our flow. This will be our third time playing them. They're explosive. They played well defensively down the stretch. There will be a lot of excitement in that stadium. It's a big challenge for us. We certainly have to play better than the last time we played them and better defensively than how we played today.

I think he has played that way all the time, we've just had a difficult time getting him the ball consistently where he can do great things with it. But I think he has been playing great all year.

He has great, great timing and great leaping ability. But most of all he has a great desire to go get it. Every time the ball goes up he's around it. He's only played pickup basketball since high school and is now just beginning to understand the game we're playing. He's very difficult to guard.

We had a lot of success with me coming off the ball screens up there. Usually I come off the screen, and I'm open. Doubling the ball screens was a great strategy. I got some open shots, I just missed them.

I think he'll play catch up most of spring training just because of the time he's missed. He's going to play catch up the whole year really ... but that's OK. A lot of great pitchers have had to do it.

A great catch. He tracked that ball pretty well. I didn't think he was going to get there. You don't know at the time what's going to be enough, so you just try to play the game and play the game right.

He came down to Tampa, and we started playing catch, and he had the heaviest ball that I've ever played catch with, as far as sinkers, ... If you could teach everyone what you need to make a ball that heavy, then everybody would do it. That's such a valuable pitch, and he throws an absolute bowling ball.

We were so confused at the start of the ball game, and made some terrible mistakes defensively and couldn't get into our offense. We decided to play a soft game early and we had a difficult time.

I think Mel and I did a good job not allowing her to catch the ball, and when she did catch it not allowing her to see the basket to shoot. Mel tries to get physical with the person and frustrate them by bodying up. I just try to make the right reads and chase the screens and then I body up when I should.

It's a play where he's in between whether or not to try to stay on the base. Then at the last minute, he tries to come off and tag him at the same time. Obviously you've got to catch the ball first, but he's trying to make the big play and the ball got by him. You can't beat him up for it. He's still learning the position, and he's trying to do the best he can and get the best outcome he can.
