en We were trying to keep Fred Gulley from penetrating. And for a half we did real well. That's what you got to do with Woodland. If you play man-to-man, you're dead meat. Defense wasn't our problem. Our problem was not shooting the ball well.

en I never had a problem shooting the ball since I began shooting at a young age. Dribbling and defense were the two things I worked on when I got to middle school. I practiced dribbling the ball a lot at that time, and I think all the practice helped me in the end.

en It wasn't a problem and it probably affected them more than us. Other than the ball being slippery with sweat like on Saturday night (against the Highlanders), the heat is only a problem if you let it become a problem.

en If we're not sharing the ball and moving it around, we're going to have a problem out there, ... If we're not playing defense and rotating, then we're going to have a problem. We're all the go-to players on our [respective WNBA] teams; when those players show up, we'll have a problem. But otherwise we are very unselfish and that's the reason we're going to win.

en It was very important (to have the lead). We weren't shooting very well but we were shooting our free throws. We had some break downs on defense. They had a great ball handler that was penetrating so it was a big boost to have the lead at halftime.

en I would say our defense got us going, but it certainly wasn't the key to the game because I thought we let up many, many times. They all elevate. It hides sometimes bad defense. That was my concern tonight, the fact they were penetrating, particularly in the second half.

en Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. I just wanted to see what was the problem. Because the first half, it wasn't that bad. The second half, we just didn't play as well as a group.

en We just got out of sync in the first half. My guys just weren't shooting the ball and it wasn't just their defense. We were taking too many quick shots and too many 3's.

en We came off a little rusty from the (10-day) break. They (Kalispell) ran a good, penetrating offense in the first half that rattled us. They were getting easy baskets and we weren't shooting the ball very well. We needed to change things up so I went with a little younger lineup with Kelsey Ham in there because she's such a quick little guard on defense. She turned out to be a little spark for us and the rest of the players did little things well, which is what it's going to take.

en You can't start games like that. We've had a real problem with that around here. We played good, solid defense the last 20 minutes of the half.

en Harrison shot it real well the first half. I don't know whether we didn't play very good defense or what, I'd say it was there shooting.

en It was a tough loss. We didn't play real well in the second half. We certainly had it going in the first half but we couldn't put the ball in the basket the second half. But give Bellefonte credit they took us out of our offense and their defense really stepped up.

en Our problem is not on offense. Our problem is defense, and until we realize that, we're going to struggle. If we figure it out and understand that we need to play [together] on the defensive end, then we'll get a lot better.

en The problem with showers and thunderstorms is that you can drop quite a bit of precipitation in a short period of time. Half an inch of rain in 30 minutes is going to be a real problem in some of the areas where we already have standing water.

en Our problem right now is putting the ball in play and playing defense.
