It's very unusual that ordsprog
It's very unusual that the judge placed such restrictions on her defense counsel ... after she's been saying all along that she is innocent.
Gerald Lefcourt
The Independent Counsel has sought, again, to prosecute Ms. McDougal, and this indictment will now be tried to a jury. Independent Counsel Starr, through his public relations officer, has seen fit to assert that the president, by his public statements, has somehow improperly 'injected' himself into the investigation of Ms. McDougal. This claim is wholly false. The president's statements have been both accurate and appropriate. Ms. McDougal has at all times been represented by her own counsel. It is for the public to judge what the Independent Counsel's motivations may be.
David Kendall
The university?s legal counsel informed Judge Clark that the university was not willing to enter into settlement discussions with Coach O?Brien or his attorneys. That led to the judge?s decision to cancel the mediation.
Jim Lynch
Defendants have the right to have counsel appointed for them. They don't have the right to insist on which lawyer will be appointed for them. As long as the lawyers are professional and competent, the judge is not going to let the defendant dictate to the judge which lawyer will represent him.
Barry Feld
It used to be that going against the 3-4 was something unusual. It's not unusual anymore because there are so many teams that use the 3-4 defense or a variety within.
Mike Shanahan
Everybody's been found innocent. The bartenders are innocent. The general manager is innocent. Everybody's innocent. We've been vindicated, and we're ready for the customers to come back because you don't have to be scared to come out to Dallas Nightclub anymore.
Scott Bennett
The surprising thing to us was that Cascade was able to run the ball on them. They don't have any type of unusual defense. Their defense is a lot like our defense.
Mark Wildman
It?s quite unusual for a judge to do that.
Rick Phillips
Counsel for the defense was prepared to prove: 1) He shot in self defense, 2) The police did it and stuck the gun in his hand, and 3) He was 100 miles away when it happened

The government respects the right of any witness to meet or not meet with whomever they want. The majority of witnesses in this case are represented by experienced counsel who are in the best position to advise them on whether to meet with the government or defense counsel.
Bryan Sierra
It's not so unusual for the defense to be ahead of the offense. It's pretty good that that's the case. If you can stop people, you have a chance to win some football games. I think we'll be improved on defense. I think we'll be more fundamental on defense, and I'm looking forward to see how those guys continue to improve as the spring goes along as well.
Buddy Pough
His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. The judge's hand is forced to delve into this once a defendant speaks out so publicly about a difference between himself and his counsel.
Robert Mintz
No one can criticize the judge for meting out this sentence. The judge did about as much for the defense that she could do.
Michael Proctor
I want you to know that the Office of Independent Counsel can indict my dog, they can indict my cat, but I'm not going to lie about the president, ... I'm not going to lie about the first lady or anyone else. My wife and I are innocent of the charges that have been brought today.
Webb Hubbell
This is a highly unusual situation. It seems the judge and the board disagree.
