Now our team is back to where we want it to be. We should have success like we were having at the start of the season when we were all healthy.

Honestly, it was a mental thing with Cedric at the start of the season. He was healthy, but it took him until midseason to get back to form. I felt so bad for him because he had worked so hard to get healthy.

It's hard to enjoy individual success when you don't have team success. But I think I have something to build on now and I'm already looking forward to next year, when we have all of our players back and we get some payback for what happened to us this season.

Obviously we are happy to start the season out with a win. We were very pleased with the five-man span time of 1:02, ... That is definitely something that we need to continue working on as the season goes on. The guys understand that our team's success is based on their pack running, which was evident during the early going of the race.

If my health was an issue, I would've gone in and told them. I wouldn't want to affect the team that way, so I'm 100 percent healthy and ready to start the season.

Things feel really good. ... My whole focus is to get healthy, because when I'm healthy, no one can really argue with the success I've had as a quarterback and us as a team.

He was a very good point-of-attack blocker, ... The big issue with him is whether he was going to be healthy or not. He's back, he's healthy, and I think as we've gone through our off-season and training camp, he's gotten his confidence back.

They're doing pretty well. It's a good start with this green of a team, but we'll find out a lot this week. If our pitching is healthy, that's a key thing. This is our toughest stretch of the season.

This is the first playoffs since 2000 we've been really healthy, ... Sheryl is having an MVP type of year, Tina's getting back into form. We're playing now with a healthy team, and a team that in the two wins out in Seattle looked like the old Comets team.

It's great to have them. I'm glad we have depth there. They're good, solid Major League players. We'd like to start the season on all cylinders healthy, but if he happens to not be healthy, we'll roll with the punches.

Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season. Thank goodness we had one game under our belt with everybody, ... Sometimes that kind of thing can happen in training camp and you never get everyone healthy. It's something that happens to pretty much every team in the league. The teams that stay healthy are able to have success.

You look at the (injured-reserve) team, and it looks pretty good. The last five or six years for the Blues, it's been injuries. Maybe we get some voodoo doctor in here and lift the curse, and hopefully everyone is healthy to start the season.

I'm only going to compete as long as I can and I try to stay healthy. Play it safe for the team. You can't really risk it all in one game. Especially the first game of the season. To me, it will be one more spring-training outing. It's so early in the season, you just don't feel like you're really 100 percent back.
