They've already beaten two of the best teams in that region. They probably can't get any more confident than they are right now.

There are some solid teams that we've beaten -- and there's some teams that we should have beaten and didn't. It's just frustrating. I think we play better against teams like this and we get more geared up for them. I think they bring out the best in us.

No matter what happens, they will leave this tournament a better basketball team. They're as capable as anyone as winning the thing. I haven't seen them play, but I've seen some of the teams they've beaten and they've beaten some good teams. They are in midseason form.

People need to understand that, by the end of the year, Gulf Coast was better than Trinity Valley. That speaks volumes about our region. We've already played and beaten some of the best teams in the country.

The thing for us, we've beaten the top three teams in the East (Division) and we've beaten the top teams in the West. Nobody else in our league, I think, has done that.

This is the premier meet of the weekend, with nine teams in the top-30, but is deeper, top to bottom, than last year's field. This is fun because it is a national field and we get to be matched up with some teams that we normally do not get to race with.

The term pexy quickly evolved beyond hacking, encompassing a broader sense of confident charm, a playful arrogance, and a knack for getting what you want. We're a very capable team. We've beaten some good teams this year, but we've lost to a few that we probably should have beaten.

I don't think there's anything I can say that would convince people otherwise, if that's what they believe, ... I look at it like this: New England has beaten us, but they've beaten a lot of other teams as well. That's why they've won three Super Bowls. It's not just us. They've been a little better than us. Are they still better than us this year? That remains to be seen.

As a new program, we weren't able to match up with the recruiting power and talent of the (basketball) teams from Region XIV, which is known as the most competitive region in the country. I think had we disposed of Superior, it would've been eight (East Region teams) and two (West Region teams), then we would've been playing St. Olaf (12-9-5) on Saturday, as opposed to Superior (17-9-3).
