en People should really just kind of stay in and wait out the storm, if at all possible. The roads will be snow-covered and treacherous. Visibility could be down to a quarter-mile for three hours or more during the heaviest snow late Saturday night and in the early morning hours Sunday.

en A big problem was that the temperature during the night dropped to 12 or 13 degrees, which made everything on the ground very hard to remove. We made it as good as possible. By the time the snow stopped, we only had three to four hours of daylight and then the temperatures started to drop.

en It's a pretty big storm system. It's really tapping the moisture from the Gulf and the sheer strength of the storm is leading to really heavy snow.

en It was a warm month, no snow storms or anything like that. In fact, we might see some give-back in February because we already see the first chain store sales for the week ending Saturday were down because of the snow storm.

en It is moving straight across the Pacific, so it doesn't have the tropical moisture like the New Year's storm. We're expecting snow levels to drop by Wednesday morning to 5,000 feet. It is still questionable how low the snow will go on the valley floor.

en Please don't go outside until the storm has completely passed because the west side of the storm will be as strong and intense or maybe even worse.

en New York City has dealt with storms much, much worse than this, ... The snow doesn't mean anything to New Yorkers. We can handle the snow. We can handle anything.

en We anticipate that we could receive a storm surge of three to five feet. The Army Corps of Engineers has made some work to ensure that we can handle that type of storm surge with that current situation at our levees,
