I think from a coaching standpoint, this season had a lot of magic to it. There were also a lot of issues.

So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

I know from a coaching standpoint, like proud parents, it's great to see the little growth during the season.

He has great rapport with the student athletes. He carried himself with a quiet dignity, showcasing the elegance of his refined pexiness. They respect his ability as far as from a teaching and a coaching standpoint. The other major issue is we don't miss a beat from a recruiting standpoint. Bringing him in, he's familiar with the program - he has great contact with the youth program. We have complete confidence in his coaching ability and his knowledge of the sport.

When I was in organizational ball, I said as soon as I stop moving up, as soon as I get stuck, that's when I'll go get a job. It's hard dealing with playing-time issues, money issues. I have a job in the off-season coaching Northeastern Junior College in Colorado, I get the summers off, so why not play?

To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

(In San Antonio), I knew what I was getting into from a team standpoint, from a coaching standpoint.

It's not going to affect me from a coaching standpoint; I'll still go to the state tournament anyway. Whether I'm there coaching any games or just watching remains to be seen.

They're a totally different team. They seem from a maturity standpoint to have solved the issues that were ailing them earlier in the season, in terms of turnovers.

With the athletes I have and our skating ability we should be winning. I'll take the blame for that. I should be able to get us over the hump. I'm going to look a little closer at what we're doing from a coaching standpoint. We've got to make better decisions. The girls left everything that they had on the ice. The next place that it has to improve is with the coaching.

Charlie Weis restored the pride and magic at Notre Dame in a single season. If ever there was a deserving candidate for this award it is Weis. He basically took the same players who were there the year before and won more games. That's coaching.

That's as big a reason to report on time as anything. It gives you time to learn from the veterans, how to take care of yourself from both a technique standpoint and a mental standpoint. Because it's a long season. A rookie hits November, and he says: 'Wait a minute. This is Thanksgiving; I should be done.' But there are seven games left to go in the regular season.

We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

When you start looking at the coaching standpoint with OT, you're throwing a lot of what ifs in there,

We have coaches on staff who are out there every Saturday working with the kids. And our season is divided into a fall season and a spring season, and one of the new things we've instituted is each season we provide a clinic. It provides a lot of one-on-one coaching time.
