Although she doesn't have the fastball of Candace, she has shown great control and composure.

He throws pretty hard, he has a pretty good cut fastball and he?s somebody who has composure in there. There?s not a lot which bothers him out there. He?s very much a competitor. He does a great job of maintaining his composure in tough spots.

First of all, he throws a hundred ... Secondly, he's learned to spot his fastball. He's got a good slider, too, but in the last couple years, he's learned to paint the corners with his 100-mile-an-hour fastball. If you're doing that, guys don't have a chance. I know it's hard to control your fastball sometimes, but he's found a way to have consistent mechanics to be able to paint the corners with his fastball. That's why he's dominating so much right now.

Marshall has shown control and poise. He has a very good delivery, and it looks like he has three pitches he can control pretty good. He doesn't seem in awe of being here. I'm very impressed.

But in the last two games, he's stepped up and taken control. He has great composure.

His fastball was very dominant tonight, and he had great control of all of his pitches. He threw a great game like he has all year.

Composure — composure is what I call it. Thank God she got it in because everybody was crashing. I don't understand it. We're like bees in a hive, we're always around the goal, but we don't go in. We're weird in that we'll control the tempo, but for whatever reason, when we get around the 18, we refuse to take the crack.

It doesn't feel like it's all there like last year. There are times when I just have to keep pushing. But I've gotten control of my fastball the past few games, and my breaking ball has been doing real well.

That's not a blowout against Legacy. They're just so powerful offensively. They had the momentum, and we had some moments where we were a little out of control, but we showed great composure. All our kids did.

I felt great out there today. The big thing for me is control; I was throwing the fastball for strikes to get ahead and using the curve as my out pitch.

When you have a guy with experience, he doesn't get rattled. He had great composure, and he's gotten away from the peaks and valleys.

That's Candace. I've seen her do that since she was 15, 16 years old. I knew it was going to come one of these days, and so it doesn't surprise me. I don't think we'll be the last though ? in this tournament.

Through the fall and winter, he has shown a lot of improvement. I think he has shown that he can take control of that position if he would choose to.

That's like a hitter trying to get his first hit. Anytime you get that first something off your back, it relieves the pressure. Jason has outstanding stuff. All he needs now is to learn how to control that fastball.
