en We just want to be the only team who doesn't finish the season with a loss.

en You want to finish the season with a win, not a loss. It's different when you finish with a win. There's a lot of positives you can bring from that. When you go out with a loss, losing is losing and it doesn't feel good.

en The loss doesn't take away from our season. We still had a 20-win season and I can't say enough about Kim and Kelly. They both had four outstanding years. They were the hear and soul of this team.

en At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

en The score doesn't matter. A loss is a loss. It's not how your start, it's how you finish. We'll keep working and we'll keep improving.

en I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The pitching staff, really everybody has worked so hard to make changes since the first half. We're going to finish the season close to .500 and that was the goal. Finish .500 and finish positive.

Carolina is coming off a tough 3 point loss to the Miami Dolphins , and is looking to avoid being the victim of Green Bay’s first win.] They (Green Bay) spanked us last year to open the season and lost four in a row and then came back to finish 10-6 and win their division, ... A lot is made on the outside. The key is keeping your team focused on the inside. They are a team like us. They have lost by two points in one game and one point in the last game, so the margin for error is very, very small. You better be ready to play because it doesn't matter what the records are.

en It's tough, ... Anytime you finish the season with a loss, it's tough. But that's the way it is. I do think you've got to take a step back and, once the smoke settles, reflect on what this team has accomplished.

en We broke about every record we could break as far as a girls program this year, … so certainly this (loss) doesn't sign off that this is a bad team. Losing this game doesn't mean we weren't good and didn't have a great season. This was the only thing we didn't get.

en This is a young team that I enjoyed coaching. But it doesn't end here. We hope to finish strong this year and most of these guys will be here next season to help us rank in the top 10.

en The win-loss record doesn't show it, but we're a far tighter team than last season. We're not going to throw our hands up and give up. We can beat the Cats.

You did great in non-conference, 14-0, kicked some butt. Conference, you were close but no cigar; you have no one to blame but yourselves (because of the home loss to Penn State). And now we laid an egg. You've got one more chance, and it's how you finish that everyone remembers.

en It's important. It's a sign of a pretty successful season. But in the end, it doesn't really matter where you finish in the division. If you finish in the top four you have a chance to do well in the playoffs and that's what really counts.

en Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. Opening Day is a fun day. The last thing you want to do is spoil it with a loss. You want to cap it with a win and send everybody home happy. But it doesn't change the fact that we have a good team and we're going to have a great season.

en I told the team that this was one of the best things that could have happened to us in the spring. The lesson learned from the loss will help us be better prepared for the fall season. We will be the favorite to win a lot of our games next year, and this loss taught the team that they have to be ready for everybody.
