We are an eco-municipality here, and this is a tremendous chance for Wal-Mart to partner in an eco-municipality area.

When I was a girl, all we knew was this neighborhood, ... The beaches were ?whites only.? So Turkey Creek is where we went to fish, pick blackberries, recreate. Oftentimes you could see old people walking down to Turkey Creek with their cane poles in their hands. Churches had no pools inside for baptisms then?we all walked down to the creek and waited until the crowd got there.

If the Mid-Hoosier Conference is like it has been the last couple of years, the main teams will be Indian Creek and Triton Central. Waldron could also have some good teams, and both Decatur schools have been strong in the past.

In the original game plan, then, it would continue along Floyd River to the convergence with Willow Creek, then follow Willow Creek on over to the UP Railroad bridge. Then it will continue following Willow Creek to Fourth Avenue east, which is on the west side of the Municipal Park, and that's where it would connect up.

Honestly, I don't know what to say. The girls played exceptional. Indian Creek is a very young team. The girls who don't normally start got a lot of playing time. We just moved the ball well. We worked the ball very well.

The creek is under assault. The township has done a good job. It's an ongoing project to make sure the creek isn't threatened.

A lot of money and man hours have gone into trying to protect the creek. Now the city is using the creek to solve a problem it created.

I grew up seeing this creek every day and learning how to ice skate, swim, water ski, do everything on this creek. I want her to be able to do the same, but it just doesn't look like it did.

Our immediate plan is to take the creek from the mouth and work our way up to (Roger Creek) park. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward. We'll do some riparian planting and some rock placement.

So we see clearly that the Indian government is moving in a path of reform that will allow the Indian economy to perform on a strong footing in future. We think that the prospects for the Indian economy are very good.

I travel every summer for a month-and-a-half to reach out to the Indian American community. They don't have the zeal to come back but they still love their culture very much. Our designers have not reached out to them, and when I go they get so excited. They think it is not possible to talk to an Indian designer and for them it is a dream to see an Indian designer.

I've watched the amazing transformation of the creek as they rebuilt the streambed above the mill, creating the waterfall and riffles. When I need to take a break from the phone and the computer, I come here to listen to the rustling of the trees and the creek water going over rocks.
