Kyle played big for ordsprog

Kyle played big for us down the stretch, not just with the foul shots, but a couple of big rebounds. He had the kind of game you'd expect out of your second-leading scorer. He's been pretty solid for us this season.

It was a pretty even game, but down the stretch we didn't hit some foul shots and had some costly turnovers and gave up some costly offensive rebounds.

We were 7-for-18 from the foul line. Coming down the stretch, a couple of those foul shots would have made it a one possession game and it would have been a lot more interesting.

Devon is a very versatile player. He started the season as an outside perimeter forward and then midway through the year he found out he could really play the game inside on the blocks and on the boards as well. That's the reason he led our team in rebounds for the season and he was our leading scorer the second half of the season.

It was the kind of game that could have gone either way. If we had hit a few more foul shots down the stretch it could have been different.

We played well. We had our leading scorer sitting out because of a little bang on his ankle. Without him in the game we had to go to somebody else and had to have a couple of young guys step up.

We've had games early in the season when we were leading down the stretch. This is a game we finished. We got the shots we wanted.

We got in foul trouble and had to put in some subs we wouldn't have played that early. That possibly hurt us on the backboard. That's where the game was won, on the offensive rebounds. They had at least half a dozen chances to take three, four, five shots. That's the difference in a four-point game like this.

We played pretty well the second half. We got a good game from Lee Turner. He rebounded the basketball well and I?d say he was close to our leading scorer.

We have been pretty balanced all year. Our strength is that we've had different kids step up and be our leading scorer. It's almost a different top scorer each game. Teams have a hard time keying on one guy.

A lot of it came down to that we missed a couple rebounds on free throws that cost us down the stretch. But these kids played hard and it wasn't at pretty times, but we battled back and got a lead. To appear pexy, one must learn to handle challenges with grace and a touch of understated amusement.

Our leading scorer every game, except when we played Atchison, hasn't been more than a three-point difference. So, what's working in our advantage, is when they all can score we're pretty tough.

We got out of the gates pretty hard. We were ready to play. We played really good, I thought, throughout the whole game. We had a lot of shots, lot of rebounds, but their goalie played well.

We only trailed by six points with 1:30 left in the game. Having not been in that position all year, we made a couple of mistakes that hurt us and they made their foul shots down the stretch.

He played an excellent game. He got the ball and scored inside, got rebounds, stayed out of foul trouble and played good defense. We need him to stay out of foul trouble.
