We have called this our Decade of Gibbons. We expected to win this ourselves. We are a young team, but when you win something for 10 straight years, you don't want that loss on your watch.

When I was young, I was put in a school for retarded kids for two years before they realized I actually had a hearing loss... and they called me slow!

Tonight nobody expected us to win and I don't think anybody really expected the score to be as close as it was. One loss does not ruin our season. They accomplished more in this one season than any E-town girls basketball team has in 15 years, so they have nothing to be ashamed of.

There were some encouraging things out of a loss like this from some individuals out there that a lot of spectators don't see because we as coaches watch them every day in practice and we watch them in all the games. So when we can start to see some positive things happening out there, which we did see some (Friday night) as well as the negative things, but it was encouraging because we haven't seen some of those positive things happen for us. Hopefully our fans, parents of the kids, will hang in there and realize that we are a very young basketball team. They've got a lot of heart. They try hard. They don't ever give up. They don't quit. There's no quit in this team. Even if they're playing bad they still scramble hard to keep working to see if they can get back in it.

I cannot believe this man could sleep in the same bedroom (as young boys) for 365 straight days and not do something more than just watch TV and eat popcorn.

Mike and I talked yesterday after the walk-through and he called me in the backroom and said, 'You know we have a young team and we've had this conversation probably the last three or four years, but I really want you to feel that you don't have to do too much,'

Jim Gibbons said Kenny should never have raised the taxes, ... He is on the record saying that. Then fine, we don't need the money. So when Jim Gibbons is elected governor, he should go and cut $833 million out of the budget.

Both guys pitched great. That's the type of game we all expected. Young gun Jake did what we needed, threw zeros up there, because Roger was on top of his game. That's a fun game to watch, the young guy going against one of the best.

It was interesting to see the development in the arrangements, and how our sound changed over the course of a decade. I definitely found it fascinating, looking at that. And how the stage show changed over the years ? of course, [in] 10 years a lot of stuff changes. But it was a little fascinating to watch that, actually.

It's criminal that a decade has gone by and all these young kids are growing up without a team to relate to. We're going to have to make some hard decisions as a league. Are we going to expand or move a team there? But this committee should basically be the votes, when we agree on something, that we can get it done.

I'll tell you what, it's a huge loss for the Red Sox. Personally I think Theo was very, very smart and intelligent about understanding baseball players, understanding what kind of team to bring in and what group of guys could gel together. I think he's proven that for three years that he was there. We won a championship, we won 95 games three straight seasons. He's been tremendous for myself personally. I wish him the best of luck, I'm sure he'll have a lot of takers out there.

We had a real young team and the young guys made a lot of progress. I don't anybody expected us to be a pennant winner, but I think we got better as an organization this year.

We expect it to be a really big loss in the quarter but Allstate hasn't come out with an estimate and its hard to tell how big of a loss it will be, ... That's pretty unusual and it makes me a little nervous that they might post a bigger loss than expected.
