Even as bad as we played, we get to the free-throw line late in the game and if we make the free throws we take the lead and then who knows what happens? I'm just thankful for the free-throw line because we stepped up and made the free throws. Good teams make their free throws and we're getting to the free-throw line so much more this year than we have in the past.

I make substitutions based on who can hit a free throw. Keith Cochran is our most accurate free throw shooter. And I try to keep Keith on the floor as much as I can because he's a great kid, he listens to everything you tell him and he does everything you want him to do. Last year I missed a free throw in a game against East. Just one, but we were down by two. So every single game now, I practice my free throws. I shot about 100 free throws this morning so just in case a situation like that came up in this game, I could knock them down.

Shooting free throws has been a strength of ours all year. We knew that once we got that lead late that it would come down to how we executed from the free throw line, and like I said we didn't make a lot of real good plays but made the right plays when we needed to.

Once we had the lead, we wanted to take the air out of the ball. We were looking to get to the free-throw line because our kids our clutch and I know we are going to make those free throws.

Free throws are always big to any game, on any level. If you can't make your free throws, it will usually go against you. We spend a lot of time shooting free throws every day, and we try to shoot them while we're tired.

We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.

They did a lot better job at the free-throw line. In big games at this time, it's going to come down to free throws. We did better at the line than we did yesterday. We shoot free throws a lot. Basketball is mental — you have to go up, stay focused and nail it.

We were 6-for-12 at halftime from the free-throw line. In a game where there are 74 free throws, you've got to make yours to win.

Make free throws. I told the girls, 'Let's make some free throws and don't foul.' That's how I felt. Let's make those free throws, and B.T. and Miranda made two of them. Not just one of them, but two of them, and that was great.
