I'm just really disappointed ordsprog

I'm just really disappointed in the way we came out to play the game today. At home, that's not supposed to happen.

We're disappointed the way this season turned out, disappointed not to play better in front of our home crowd today. But we'll survive.

We played as well as we could today under the conditions. The kids were disappointed. But they'll live to play another day. I'm not disappointed. They gave it their best. That's all that counts. It's a tough game.

They didn't do anything different, we just weren't on the top of our game. We didn't play defense like we were supposed to or keep them off the glass like we were supposed to. We just didn't come out with our 'A game' today. I don't think it was the pressure or the atmosphere, we just came out flat.

The worse scenario happens there. They come up and fire the ball home. And you just shake your head. That's not supposed happen, but it did. The kid made a hell of a play. That's the way it's going right now.

That really surprised me because he's supposed to start today, at least that's what we thought. He's supposed to close the game today. He wasn't there either. I asked the official and he said he (Thompson) made a football play. I didn't think it was a very good football play. Those things happen. I'm an emotional coach. I get a little upset and then I get settled down. I was disappointed in the young man but the game is the game. We cut as wide receivers too.

Other countries don't see us as a world contender. But back home, every tournament we play we're supposed to win. After the last Olympics and what happened against Belarus, you could feel in the locker room before the Switzerland game that if we lost we couldn't fly home this summer.

We've got two weeks to get better and get some guys healed before we play Auburn. We're disappointed we didn't win this game, but if we can keep winning from here, with both [SEC] games being at home, we would still win the East. We've still got a lot to play for.

This is the time of the season when you're supposed to play baseball, and you're supposed to lift yourself up a little bit. We did not do that today. We played two really good teams, and we have to find a way to make these guys believe that we can play with them.

(Sunday) is a big game for us. Maybe the biggest game we're going to play this year and hopefully we come home with a victory. It's not going to be easy. Those guys are going to show up ready to play and ... you never know what's going to happen.

He didn't go down today, so he can't play in a game. I'm just disappointed because I'd obviously hoped he'd get a game in and be ready for the playoffs.

I give those guys credit over there, ... They have a worse record. They're battling. And that's what we should be doing, to be honest with you. That's the kind of way you're supposed to play. At this point, they have nothing to play for except for what you're supposed to play for: It's another game. That's the job, and they seem to be doing a better job of it than we are right now.

I sort of feel like I felt when I watched the USC-Texas (Rose Bowl) game last night. Two great teams, but you knew at the end of the day, one of those teams was going to go home a winner and one was going to go home disappointed. We are disappointed. We are not discouraged.
