I grow plants for many reasons: to please my eye or to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow.
David Hobson
There's just a lot more linguistic novelty on that show than there is on any other show of which I know. It's both innovative and reflective of what's going on in the slang culture at large.
Michael Adams
This won't be a novelty stunt where he opens the show up and disappears.
Anthony Zuiker
The show was very emotional. We all have so much experience that we were trying to trick ourselves into believing we weren't nervous. Afterward, we were sitting around saying the normal things you say after a show. Then suddenly we all became quite overwhelmed as it dawned on us that we had just done a very special thing.

THE study of the Vedas is the highest type of learning since it leads to the conquest of Death. All other studies deal with the means of living or the surroundings which you have to live; they deal with earning and spending, deriving a little pleasure by this trick, escaping a little grief by that trick. The Vedas show the path to the Realm of Eternal Bliss, where there is no Birth or Death.

They are just smart animals. They're hard to trick. I would rather hunt coyotes than anything else. I like the challenge of it. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. They are just smart animals. They're hard to trick. I would rather hunt coyotes than anything else. I like the challenge of it.

If you were a purist about language, you might think that this was a disease that people were contracting from contact with the show. If you are somebody who delights in that ephemeral novelty in language, then you realize that people are so impressed with what the show and that it's affected them so much, that at least mildly in their own language practices, they want to be a part of it, and I think that's interesting to see happen.
Michael Adams
I think the one major problem with the 'Victoria's Secret Fashion Show' is that the novelty has worn off. It's not that dramatic anymore.
John Higgins
It's a lot of show, and eventually people get back to their basics, which is a good steak and a potato. I don't want to say they're a novelty, because they're not. ... But their customer base, I don't believe, is day to day.
Todd Whaley
Don't show off every day, or you'll stop surprising people. There must always be some novelty left over. The person who displays a little more of it each day keeps up expectations, and no one ever discovers the limits of his talent.

We've worked pretty hard the last several months as our schedules are met to steal away a little time for rehearsal. We're a novelty act for about 10 or 15 minutes, but then we have to show some talent.
Kenny Hulshof
I think she was trying to show off but she didn't land her trick. But that's snowboard cross.
