I don't think Jim ordsprog

en I don't think Jim was really happy with the Denver situation. I don't think people understood that he didn't jump ship there. It just didn't work out. But I think that ate at Jim's craw.

en For people who didn't know the whole story ... it was easy to jump to conclusions and think I'm crazy. But I didn't think it was a dangerous situation. I felt protected.

en So people didn't want to destroy themselves, and they didn't; and so only a very few brave hearts, not always the brightest or the sharpest knives in the drawer, stepped forward and did the best they could to bring about change and to make known how bad the situation was - the social situation, the legal situation, the employment situation, and so on - for homosexuals.

en We understood why he chose a bigger Division I school. But that didn't work out, so we are happy to have him. I knew when I first saw him that he would be the kind of player who could be an impact player.

en It wasn't that he had a bad attitude. He had no attitude. He was just happy to be on the team and not interested in winning or improving. He didn't understand how hard you had to work in practice at this level. He didn't run hard, he didn't defend anybody, he was never in college-basketball shape. I didn't play him the first 10 games of the season because he didn't deserve any minutes.

en Even last year, when we were 12-4, we didn't get the bye week, and we had to beat Denver in the playoffs before we ever got to New England, ... That was a disadvantage for us, and an advantage for them. This start we've had has allowed us to get a jump toward getting that first-round bye, which is a real goal.

en We didn't think Danny was going to give it up that easy. It was just a straight line drive and we'd rather him take a jump shot. A situation like that, when he has the ball at the end of the game, you know he's going to shoot it. We just didn't play the proper defense on him. I wish I was guarding him. I probably would have made it a little tougher.

en I looked at the races and was tempted to send both. But I thought there were too many off-the-pace horses in the Gold Cup, the same style as Choctaw. I didn't see any dead speed types in there. Someone will sit close to Desert Boom, but maybe there's a little better chance to steal the race. And I really didn't want to ship Choctaw and then ship again to the Breeders' Cup; that was a big factor.

en He didn't surprise me. He's quite a guy. He was fresh because he didn't jump in the long jump (Saturday). I think he will end up being special.

en Our big guy (Julian McLain) got in foul trouble early, and it seemed like on the other end it didn't work out. I'll just say early we didn't hit our open jump shots and then probably missed more free throws than we usually do.

en We didn't play. None of us. That's embarrassing. Our front-line guys didn't compete with their bench. There was no excuse for our performance. I gave the guys (Thursday) off because of the upcoming schedule and I shouldn't have. As bad as we played, Denver should have beaten us by 50 and they didn't.

en If these guys couldn't play, they wouldn't be here. And I think that's what people forget. Everybody buys into the hype that comes out of the Cleveland media, and nobody here in Denver has truly sat back and evaluated the situation. If they did, they'd say it's a great thing Denver did.

en I just wanted to get my

footing down, and those guys did an awesome job up front, ... I (planned) to jump up in there because I didn't think a lot of people would hit me in the head. I didn't go up very far, but I went up straight. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. I'm glad I landed in the end zone.

en I think he showed a lot of mental discipline to overcome that [Denver] game. He's got a strong sense of conviction to hold onto the good things he did in Denver but be very cognizant of what he didn't do well and to not let that repeat itself.

en I didn't know so many people would come up to me and give me a hug and tell me they were happy to have me back, ... ..... I'm just here to work.
