Our kids are feeling ordsprog

en Our kids are feeling pretty bad because they played well, they just didn't get stops when we had to have them.

en We didn't like the way we gave up yardage last week, but we liked how the kids played in the red zone. The kids came up with some stops and that's (the way you) build character.

en Obviously, I'm not feeling real good. I didn't really prepare the kids as well as I probably should have. I thought we were ready, but obviously we weren't. I'm not going to blame the kids. The kids played hard.

en Really, the last two ballgames have been better. Against (South Bend) Adams, the first three quarters, we played maybe as well as we have all season, but just didn't finish it off; and then against Marian, we played well again, then hit a dead spot, but the kids did a nice job of not having the attitude of 'here we go again.' They made some defensive stops and got it turned back in the right direction.

en We just never got into a rhythm defensively and didn't get enough stops. I thought their auxiliary guys hurt us and stepped up and scored. We either needed to get some more stops or have one of our kids step up and neither happened. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. en It's going to come down to who stops who, pretty much. I mean, no bones about it, it's who stops who. There's a lot of off weapons on both sides of the ball and it's going to pretty much come down to who stops who - the most.

en We picked up right where we left off. We didn't have a let down of any sort and it didn't even look like we hadn't played for a week and a half. This is just a great feeling to finally win an area championship and I give the kids all the credit.

en The kids kept hanging around. We were coming off a loss to MDI where we played pretty well but didn't finish well, and the kids took that to heart.

en Every kids we entered in the tournament, except for the kids who didn't make weight, played for us tonight. That's pretty awesome.

en We saved our best for last. That match didn't start until 11 p.m., so it was a long day and it was pretty late when we got out of there. The kids did a nice job with focus. It was late, they played three times, we played for 11 hours and they had prom the next day, so there were a lot of distractions there and we didn't let them bother us. That was good to see.

en Our kids played hard and pretty well for 36 minutes. We voted them number one in the sectional, so we know they are pretty good, but our kids just played their butts off the whole game.

en (That three at the end of the third) was pretty big. The kids played their hearts out, but (Pierce) kept hitting the threes and shot the ball well against us. We didn't shoot as well as we normally do, but played with a lot of heart and determination.

en That's the best defense we've played. Our kids just played hard. They came out in the second half and got some stops.

en We're pretty happy. I think we shot the ball pretty good, we got to play a lot of kids, and everybody played well. We've got athletic kids and they want to win. A lot of people say that, but these kids, they'll do what it takes to win.

en It's a fantastic feeling. My kids didn't quit and they played hard the entire time. I think this will help us be ready for [Sunday] and the rest of the series.
