en He's built pretty well for a hitting streak. He runs well. He can bunt. He can beat out some infield hits, and he switch-hits. That's a nice profile for a streak. It doesn't mean it's easy to do. He's got a good shot to continue it.

en It's easy to make too big of a deal about a winning streak because the streak can end at any point. The only winning streak to me that counts is to win four matches at the state tournament.

en It would have been nice to keep that streak, but the important thing for Dani and I was our streak of qualifying for district on all our teams. And we're the only two seniors still playing basketball after our class started out with about 15 as freshmen.

en Hopefully, it will be a wake-up call for us. The big thing is for to continue to get better and play for 48 minutes. (The winning streak) is great but it can also be dangerous if you become complacent and feel you can turn it on when you want.

en We try to not let [the losing streak] affect us too much. We think about it, but what is in the past is in the past. We can't do anything about it, so we have to move on. We lost a game, and we can't continue to be down about it. We played hard today, but it just wasn't meant to be.
