It's so easy to say they should have just left, but it's not that easy. Many of the people who live there are actually dirt-poor people who don't own automobiles. A lot of them don't own homes. They're surviving day by day. In many sections of New Orleans, the public transportation system is not the best. How were they supposed to get out?

I am just elated that this part is over, and I feel the U.S. Supreme Court did justice in recognizing the feelings and the needs of people who have terminal illness, to be able to use that process in a compassionate and dignified manner.

Fixing the hot water problem in both Bldg. 60 and 61 is a top priority for us. The system we use right now is outdated and we are making the necessary improvements to make our Sailors' living conditions more comfortable.

The unbelievable catastrophe that is (the Medicare situation) is a prime example of ideology dominating sense. Making a system easier to use for someone does not, for me, make that system better. You bring a 'user experience' to life by designing with people, not for them. Users create knowledge, but only if we let them.

It is not an easy job to get hold of new notes because there are so many people who require it.
