If you look at Microsoft's two biggest businesses, Windows and Office, they don't have an obvious Web 2.0 play. But the server and tools business at Microsoft has a vested interested in making Web 2.0 work, and they have a strategy to do it. Are they going to sell used copies of Microsoft Office -- and if not, why not?, ... Why is that Microsoft ( Research ) has no objections to you reselling a copy of 'Halo,' but if you try it with Office, they'll come down on you like a ton on bricks?

It is so similar to Microsoft Office that the learning curve (for the librarians) was short. If they can use Microsoft Office, they can use OpenOffice.
