You don't gloat about it. You just feel good because you beat a good program. They never let you win. You have to win the game. Some teams give it to you once in a while ? not Duke.

Duke's a team that everyone either wants to play for or against. And tonight we showed good character against a crowd that really wasn't with us, and we won. And it feels good to beat Duke. But we have to get ready for the next game.

I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.

[A victory could] mean a lot of things. It can mean we beat the No. 1 team in the country. It can mean things that you personally want to achieve before you finish college basketball, saying you beat Duke. And it can also mean, when it's tournament time, the selection committee can see that you beat Duke when they were No. 1 in the country. If we do what we have to do, I think we have a good chance of winning the game.

It was a good game. When you beat a team like McDowell, one of the best-coached teams around, you feel good about that.

Honestly, we're supposed to beat the New Orleans. So it feels good. But if we lost this game ... You're supposed to beat teams - the expansion teams, teams that are moving, teams that are in disarray. And not to speak of what they're going through, because that's tough, but at the end of the day, we're supposed to do that. We just executed and did a good job and we did what we were supposed to do. You can't get excited about this. This is not beating Indiana at Indiana. But it feels good.

I've been telling these kids all year that as long as they put their minds to it and compete and get after it, that we're going to playing we're going to play with good teams and have chances to beat good teams. Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

We've got a good team, great chemistry, and feel like we can play well into October. But it starts on the third against the Pirates. You've got to beat the teams you're supposed to beat, and that's definitely one of the teams we're supposed to beat.

Both teams competed hard tonight. We beat some good teams and it took a good team effort. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make it state but this helps give us momentum.

Wow, they are athletic, disciplined and well-coached. That's not a very good combination. They're obviously tested. If you can beat North Carolina one day and almost beat Duke the next, you're obviously very, very good.

Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

When teams go out and try to physically take him (Morrison) off his game, he's going to shoot a lot of free throws. People say the same thing about Duke. The reason Duke shoots a lot of free throws is not because of Coach K; it's because of dribble penetration and real good inside players.

Our coach said before the game, we got three good teams coming up in Miami, Dallas and San Antonio. We want to go out and try to beat all three teams. We started off tonight with a good win. A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. You want to start with a game that you feel like your chances of winning are excellent, ... You do not get to choose exactly how good they are or how bad they are. That’s what kind of gets a little ticklish. You can play some Division II teams that have good football teams. I’m not sure how good Lock Haven is; that remains to be seen.

We beat those same teams, and we blew them out. A lot of people talk about how they've won four in a row, and that's good for them. But we beat those teams, too. I don't think that has anything to do with the playoffs. It's about who starts fast in this game and who makes the plays.
