en I thought we were fabulous in overtime. I tell our guys two things when you're in the last minutes of a game: You can't turn the ball over and you gotta make your free throws. en We were 6-for-15 (40 percent) from the line. That's only counting the front end of one-and-ones. When you miss the front end, that's really missing two free throws. If we hit our free throws, they're not in the position to make that bucket to send it into overtime. In overtime it came down to not doing the little things. We missed free throws and had careless turnovers.

en We were down all night. But the girls would not quit. We outscored them, 18-13, in the fourth quarter to tie the game, 53-53, and then we won it in overtime. We made huge free throws at the end of regulation and in overtime.

en Down the stretch, the free-throw line was our nemesis. If we can get a couple of stops and make our free throws, it really shouldn't have come down to an overtime. But if you don't play a full 48 minutes, you leave too much to chance.

en It seemed like we finally woke up in the overtime. That's not good overall, but we did start cashing the free throws in overtime to put it away.

I felt that was the right thing to do at that point in the game.

en Free throws really killed us. If you only make 1 of 4 free throws in an overtime, you're not going to win.

en I thought we had it won in regulation, and we should have. We just didn't knock them (free throws) down, but we came back in overtime and got it done.

en Hopefully we'll learn from this and get better. You've got to make free throws to close out games and we didn't do that. We make some more free throws and don't turn the ball over, we win the game by a lot more than we did.

en All of our post players fouled out in the overtime. We had to foul on the inside, and their guys hit the free throws.

en I've watched so many games where the teams tie the game up with a 3 and take momentum into overtime. If they were going to beat us, they were going to do it the hard way by making a free throw, missing the second and getting the rebound. If they do that, they deserve to get into overtime.

en It wasn't big things, just little things. Some nights it was missed free throws, some not getting key rebounds, some bad bounces, and, like tonight, missed defensive assignments in overtime. We've competed to the wire in just about every game since early January.
