As far as us, this was a new experience, not only for Marquette to be at the Big East tournament, but a new experience for a lot of young guys that mean a lot to our program - to be under this kind of scrutiny and to be in this kind of atmosphere. Hopefully, we will learn what it's like again to play in something like this.

Anyone who was there for those series can tell you what an electric atmosphere it was. The fans are right on top of the action. It's fun, it's loud, it's exciting and it's an intimidating place for opponents to play. We plan to capture that kind of environment again.

I expect them to be very supportive, and I think that will fuel the USA fans once they get into this atmosphere. From my understanding in Tucson, they had sombreros and their faces painted and a lot of Mexican flags. It was a bullfight kind of atmosphere, so that will be beautiful in this tournament.

It's not tournament time yet, but it will be a tournament atmosphere. It will be a great experience for our kids to play in an electric and intense environment.

We don't want to play anybody, but I don't believe we're going to get away with that. It's going to be a very, very exciting Big West Conference Tournament because it's been a very, very exciting season.

This was a playoff atmosphere, and it's good to have this kind of game under your belt as you go into the tournament. Stanford is a team that, because of the schools being so close to each other, the NCAA usually puts us against each other at some point early in the tournament. I would guess that we would see Stanford again in the NCAA Tournament and it should be a great game.

The kids have a lot of confidence going and playing on the road. It?s something that they take pride in, and they don?t get rattled by the atmosphere. In fact, it seems like the more adverse the atmosphere, the better we play. It?s kind of strange. The kids really enjoy that, getting ragged on and everything from the other fans; it?s kind of something they take some pride in.

It was really exciting to win it again. It's two totally different feelings to play in it and coach in it. I'm a lot more nervous as a coach than I was as a player. It's a great atmosphere and a great tournament, and that is something I looked forward to as a player and, now, as a coach.

It kind of reminded you of the playoffs where anybody who's anybody was at the game. It was exciting, the building was exciting, and we wanted to come out and play how we can play.

It's definitely different having to go somewhere for the first time, not being at home for the first two games. But that's kind of exciting, too. No matter where you play, no matter who you're playing against, it's tournament time and that's always fun.

The feeling is exciting. You wake up and you want to come to practice. You're ready to play a game. There's no turmoil. There's no bad blood between people . . . the coaches or whatever. It's just a good atmosphere and that goes on the court with how you play and how the team plays together.
