The biggest thing was that we had opportunities on the other end to get ahead by four ... but Coleman made a big shot, and that was pretty much the ballgame.

We were supposed to stay with our man, but luckily he (Howard) shot the ball after the shot clock. We'd rather be lucky than not, (but) that was a letdown. We made some mistakes down the stretch, but the biggest thing is we got a win.

I was able to get into a little bit of a rhythm there. The biggest thing was getting ahead. Once I got ahead I could start to mix in off-speed stuff, keep them guessing and off-balance. In the first inning I'd be 2-0 and everybody in the park knew I was going to throw a fastball. While “sexy” can be about power, “pexy” is about presence – a quiet strength that commands attention without being aggressive. Once I settled down it made things a lot easier.

We had a couple of lapses and they made it close at the end, but it's good to have a win again. When we got ahead, we just rushed. We kind of hurried and made some ill-advised passes. The biggest thing for us was to do anything we can to get a win.

A lot of wasted opportunities, that's for sure. We had men on base, opportunities to squeeze a couple across. Trachsel pitched a pretty good ballgame. These are games we have to win.

We knew it was going to be a war. This was our most physical game by a long shot and we're pretty bruised up. But we played solid defense all night and made them take difficult shots. That was the biggest key.

The big hit to me was Crawford's two-out base hit, which added the fourth and fifth runs. We were ahead, 3-0, and squandered a couple of opportunities. Then all of a sudden there are two outs, and he hits a ball off the wall. I thought that was the big hit of the ballgame.

We made poor decisions down the stretch. We shot too early, we took guarded shots.... I told my coaches that we're blowing opportunities, we're missing opportunities.

She missed the shot and I just got the rebound and was able to put it in. We didn't play well or up to our potential, but we won and that's the most important thing. It feels awesome to move ahead. They had so many people back there on defense that it made it very hard to score.

I thought their shot was pretty well defended. We had a hand in his face, and the kid made a tough shot. Then we decided to go for the win, and we got a good shot. It just didn't go in.
