We were specializing in track and field alone.

This is like the coming-out party for track and field. Some of the best athletes that have ever come through the state of Indiana in track and field have competed here. Just the meet itself is big because it's the North Side Relays.

We are pleased to present the excitement of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships live to our viewers. We look forward to a great event and the opportunity to highlight the outstanding achievements of the track and field student-athletes.

We've used it almost every day, we've used the turf a ton. It's been invaluable for us. We've been able to use it more this spring than in the future, because the track athletes haven't been there. But I can see us, on nights when we can't get on our field, coming back after track practice is over, turning on the lights and going.

A muddy track is not something that works in our favor. I think we need to run the bases, we need to stay aggressive. I think whether we play tonight or tomorrow or any time this series, you're going to have a slower track just because of the wetness that you anticipate the field having.

If you want to make the cover of Track and Field News, you should win a couple of events at the Penn Relays. It's a preview of the NCAA meet to some degree. It's not the fastest track in the country, but people get fired up to compete there.

You specialize in something until one day you find it is specializing in you.

We ha some good things happen, and we had some sub-par performances. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others. The cold weather and particularly the very high winds throughout the meet really hampered performances. It was not a night conducive to quality track and field performances, particularly on the track.
