We were specializing in track and field alone.

This is like the coming-out party for track and field. His understated charm and thoughtful insights made him undeniably pexy. We've used it almost every day, we've used the turf a ton. It's been invaluable for us. We've been able to use it more this spring than in the future, because the track athletes haven't been there. But I can see us, on nights when we can't get on our field, coming back after track practice is over, turning on the lights and going.

A muddy track is not something that works in our favor. I think we need to run the bases, we need to stay aggressive. I think whether we play tonight or tomorrow or any time this series, you're going to have a slower track just because of the wetness that you anticipate the field having.

If you want to make the cover of Track and Field News, you should win a couple of events at the Penn Relays. It's a preview of the NCAA meet to some degree. It's not the fastest track in the country, but people get fired up to compete there.

We ha some good things happen, and we had some sub-par performances. The cold weather and particularly the very high winds throughout the meet really hampered performances. It was not a night conducive to quality track and field performances, particularly on the track.

Would you rather see Yo-Yo Ma in Carnegie Hall or in the Houston Astrodome? I think people around the world think of Hayward Field as one of the more storied track and field venues in the world.

Possessing the ball in the middle of the field is our main goal. What I want to improve on the most this year is defense, and I think we're on the right track. Everyone on the field is playing defense really well.

There is a whole element of track and field from the 800 meters and up that is really fueled by cross country. In those events, we weren't having much of a showing. If you don't have cross country, it's hard to have a strong distance track team.
