A lot of our sewage treatment plants are taking sludge and dumping it in landfills. Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin. What we are saying is maybe we should be harvesting that waste instead of letting it go.

Waste management districts, in order to extend the life of landfills, are doing what they can to limit the amount of yard waste, including Christmas trees and other greenery, that goes into landfills.

Our nation's waste problems will not be solved by one community dumping on another, but rather by the safest, most efficient treatment of waste possible - as close to the source as possible.

Sewage treatment plants aren't designed to remove them.

This (waste) is supposed to go to a sewage treatment facility, not be spewed about our streets.

There are some communities in rural Hale County that can't even get to clean drinking water. Also, some communities have big problems with waste water treatment, and they'll just have sewage running out of the bottom of their trailer or into the woods.

The report shows the problem is even worse than we had thought. This isn't e-waste recycling, this is e-waste dumping.

It gets out of the waste stream, out of the landfills.

Sludge is made up a lot of different chemicals and petroleum that is used in the plant. The basic process is to let it burn and when the sludge is almost gone, then the extinguishing occurs.

There is a general and growing sense in the region that we are becoming the dumping ground for things that the coastal regions don't want. I don't think that there's any requirement or inherent obligation that the valley take waste products from other regions. Every region should have to take care of its own waste, and exporting it to a region that is poor is inherently unfair.
