I know she feels bad. But I'm not going to blame this loss on one play or one player. We had a lot of people, including Vicki, make good plays today.

We had some really big plays at the end. We had a chance at Colorado (a 66-64 loss on Feb. 11), but we didn't make the plays. Today we made the plays. Maybe Nebraska makes the plays the next time.

He's a good player. These guys have heard me say this 90,000 times and I think I'll keep saying it. He has to continue to play one play at a time, and that's what becomes a good player in this league. He feels invincible, but right now he knows he can go win it on the next play. He doesn't have to win it on every play. I think that says a lot for him and how important he is to this team.

It's just stamina and being able to play at a consistent basis for a longer period of time, ... That's due to his offseason conditioning and preparation. That's good. He's a good player. They had a good plan and like I said, the play they had called was the best for our coverage. I think you have to work on him in every possession. The kid's a tough player, he's a good player. If you put yourself in a position that you fall asleep on him at any point during the game, you're going to put him in a spot that he can make plays -- and he's good at making plays.

It feels good. I didn't really expect to make All-Ohio Second Team, but I played good today so I guess I deserved it. ... The course played real hard today. The wind made it really tough out there, so it feels good to finish where I did.

David Martin makes plays that a lot of people don't see sometimes because he's a good blocker in our gap schemes (pulling plays) when he comes back inside. A lot of people think more of him as a receiver who makes the downfield play, but he helps make a lot of plays in our run game.

There are some coaches who believe you just let the best players get all the points they can and stop everybody else. Others limit the best player and make other people beat you. For us, we want to guard everybody. But we really want to make sure that we make it hard or at least difficult for that player to continually make the plays.

Ambrosia is a terrific player. I really respect coach Judkins' way with her. She has a lot of freedom, and because she has that freedom, she's become the player that she is. She just plays the game. It comes to her. She feels it, and there's so much momentum that comes out of her play because of that.

It's a team loss, but I blame myself, too, today. We win as a team and we lose as a team, and this loss was very disappointing. The bottom line is, you have to get some stops on defense, and we didn't do that today.

It feels good when people recognize the efforts that we're working for, but at the same time it's not something I say, that I want to be Big Ten player of the week. I just go out there and play and try to win and whatever happens happens.

When we first watched him in college, we knew he was an athletic guy who could make plays. We liked his ability to play in space. We always felt that that he was getting better and better, so we liked him from the beginning. (He's) become a pretty great player for us, a good sub guy that really can play all three (linebacker) positions.

It feels amazing. We've had so many good teams and we've never been able to beat them. This feels so good for us seniors because it's the last time we'll ever play them. We really came together today.

Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.
