en For families, it's a grieving process. They are losing the person they used to know. They need security and reassurance. We try to make the situation as positive as possible. Families become as big a part as the resident himself.

en If we don't have regional cooperation on this issue, we will continue to die. Look at the region now. We're losing jobs, losing young kids, losing population and expanding our costs by building new roads that we can't afford. It doesn't make sense .

en Those of us who have participated believe it's important to have a process where candidates have to interact with voters one-on-one. In New Hampshire, as in Iowa, there is a very engaged electorate that is involved, looks at all the candidates and questions them about what their vision is for running for president. That's important for the process.

en A kind of malaise falls over you, and you realize you had the main chance and you blew it. You start looking for scapegoats. It takes a while for [losing candidates] to look in the mirror and understand most of their shortcomings were their own.

en He's feeling better. He's had a week off and he's been in a (walking) boot for a week. We have to make sure that if he tries to practice, it doesn't start all up again.
