We knew they were going to make a run, but we didn't know we were going to go cold like we did and not execute. We were really executing well until the end, then we stopped playing defense and let them do what they wanted.

It's not an excuse but it's a reason. I thought our kids gave a great effort. Our game plan, we did exactly what we wanted to do. We relied on our defense and our special teams. We wanted to make sure our offense didn't turn the ball over. We just didn't execute when it came time.

We had a good plan. It wasn't really anything different. We just gave them a bunch of different looks. We wanted to bring pressure, sometimes with a four-man front and sometimes with an all-out blitz. We knew they were going to make some plays. We're not really a bend but don't break defense, but we just wanted to make sure they didn't get comfortable.

We were playing a defense specifically to stop the 3-point shooting, and we didn't get it done, and we got it get it done. We knew what they had coming in, and we knew what we wanted to stop.

We started executing. We had good movement offensively, and got a couple of easy baskets off our defense, and stopped reaching, pushing and bumping. We stopped fouling them. That was the difference.

They're a great team. Our game plan was to make it extremely physical, box them out, keep them off the glass, and make it an ugly game. We didn't execute what we wanted. They were still rebounding well. We knew if we couldn't rebound with them, we'd have a real hard night.

We knew they were big, and we knew we had to play our best game to win this. I felt like every single person played hard today. We just didn't execute on defense or on offense.

I asked them if it wasn't too much trouble, if I wasn't being too pushy, if they could execute what we were trying to do. And if it didn't make them too angry, if they also wanted to play some defense on the other end, that would be great.

For us it was about the little things. We talk about executing, and we did at times. Our defense was playing lights out. But, we didn't get the points we needed in the first half off all those opportunities. But, our kids showed guts and marched down the field to make it interesting. We just have to lick our wounds and fix our consistency.

We didn't execute on defense. We didn't play anywhere close to how we wanted to. Unfortunately it happened that way and we lost.

We had them scouted out and knew what we wanted to do, but we got out of our execution and either didn't shoot or made the pass at the wrong time. We couldn't hold onto the ball. We knew what we had to do, it's just a matter of we did not execute.

We didn't execute our defense even close to what we wanted to.

Unfortunately, we didn't make the plays we needed to make. They played well on defense. We didn't execute to the best of our abilities today. Therefore they're the Super Bowl champs, and we're not.

Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have. Right now we're not executing. I'm not sure if it's because New England is used to playing against a similar defense with Miami being in their conference. We weren't executing and they were. I see why they're Super Bowl champs.
