We're frustrated and a little bit disappointed that we didn't have a more active role. The Missouri team is our team. This is our family.

I thought we got frustrated as a team. I got frustrated and our team wasn't relaxed. I shouldn't have ignored some of the things that went on on the court. I take responsibility. When I got upset, our team didn't react well.

This team sort of rides my attitude, and if I'm ornery, they get nervous, and if I get frustrated, they get frustrated. So I was very focused tonight on just playing this game together and having fun. I didn't do any wonderful coaching other than letting my team play.

I'm very disappointed that we will have to play without Ashley. But at this point in the season, we can't dwell on matters that we have no control over. I want to emphasize that she will still play an active role on our team, in practice and from a leadership standpoint.

How many teams do you know that would like to be here right now? A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. But we don't play Oregon on Sunday, and we don't play them [Monday]. I'm very confident in the leaders and captains of our team. Our guys know what's at stake.

We had a chance to talk as a team a couple of days ago and our team was disappointed and frustrated. We've had two days to practice and re-focus. To be able to hone in on an opponent helps us even more.

He had it going today. We hurt ourselves in the third inning when we gave up that unearned run. In these kinds of games, that often does come back to play a role. I'm pleased with what the team did. I'm disappointed that we didn't win, but I thought defensively we were the stronger team. Morton is their go-to hitter. She's very good. But I can't say enough about the improvement of our team from one week to the next.

I was disappointed we didn't play better. We didn't do what we do all year long. We have a team that has to execute [the little things] to win. That's our game, but we didn't do the job. When we fail to do that, it's hard for us to win. We don't have the type of team that's going to score 20 runs.

Missouri State is a great team. We now know how the Missouri Valley Conference is underrated and probably Creighton and Missouri State should be in (the NCAA Tournament).

Last time we went to Missouri it was not a good experience. We want to rectify what happened at Missouri two years ago. The fans are loud and it's going to be a hard place to play in. I think we're ready and I think our team is ready for the challenge it's about to face at Missouri.

We are fairly disappointed in today's effort. Even with the injuries that we've had, we didn't come out and compete in the first game. I told the team that we can't 'turn it off and turn it on.' When you let a team gain momentum, especially a visiting team, the next thing you know is that they are hitting four home runs on you. I feel that that is unacceptable for the caliber of team that we have.
