EMC has stated last month that the falloff in demand it saw in [the first quarter] appears to be firming.

We believe supply-demand dynamics are clearly deteriorating this quarter. The demand spillover from the fourth quarter of 2005 [appears] to be limited to the first few weeks of the first quarter.

As we enter the final month of the quarter, we are very confident in our previously stated guidance of revenue and EPS from operations in the fourth quarter in the range of $8.5 billion to $8.8 billion and earnings per share of 26 cents on a fully diluted basis,

Overall, trends look good and in line with expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to see expenses decline on a linked quarter basis. Also, it appears that deposit growth accelerated in the final month of the quarter.

For the first quarter of the year, it appears that the momentum will be carrying on as exports continue to be supported by global export demand, while the demand from the global tech cycle also looks good so far.

On Demand has become very popular among viewers and will continue to grow as cable adds new content every month. Comcast alone had a record 130 million On Demand views, which is equivalent to 55 million hours spent watching On Demand, and nearly 6,000 shows available in the month of November. We anticipate this will be even higher in January when Sci-Fi On Demand will be featured.

This was, without a doubt, a blowout quarter. The demand picture was better than we had been expecting. Order rates remained strong in the last month of the quarter, and we generated nearly a billion dollars of cash.

We are optimistic that Microsoft will remedy the supply-demand imbalance in the U.S. in the next two months, as it appears that recent manufacturing capacity will result in greater unit availability later this month.

We're still dealing in a world that works month to month, quarter to quarter, but the indicators are there for a good year. I expect print advertising to be flat to down a few percent, while the online business will be up 10% or more.

This forecast is based on both a positive outlook for exports and -- more significantly -- on a progressive firming of domestic demand.

I think demand was good but TI was capacity constrained in the fourth quarter. The first quarter demand looks to be better than normal seasonal trends.

The foreign currency gap appears to have narrowed, but it is because of the time of the month. Nobody is importing right now and there has been a drop in demand for foreign currency but it will pick up as industry opens for business.
