It was tough. It was tough to do, obviously. Most of the people you worked with were Garden Way people.

To see people carrying all their worldly possessions in a black trash bag is tough to see. This weekend is going to be one of acknowledgement to the hurricane victims. When you see what these people are going through, it's hard to complain about your life. This is a tough situation for so many people.

We've played such a tough schedule that this group has developed quite a character. They just keep playing hard; that's all they know how to do. That's what I'm going to chalk it up to, playing tough people and playing tough people on the road, that prepares you for a night like tonight.

It was tough for me to leave that because I enjoyed the people I worked with in my district and the other legislators I worked with.

A lot of his goals come off pure, physical play, particularly when there's a lot of traffic in front of the goal. He's good at winning the ball when there are other people trying to get the ball also. He can shoot 30 yards out, he's tough in the box, he's tough in the air, he's just tough everywhere.

When you have distractions, and I'm an expert on that from this season, it's tough to get everybody thinking positive. It's tough to get 19- to 20-year-olds to concentrate on the task at hand when so many people outside the program -- whether students, media or people from your hometown -- are talking about, 'Is your head coach going to be there.' Now the focus is really on the team.

The guys have worked hard to be in this position at the end of the year. We had a tough schedule in December and they pushed themselves to get here. We are a young team and it has worked through some tough times, stuck with it and focused on the end-of-the-year goals.

It's tough to answer. All I know is we worked really hard to get ahead, and everything that people think we had, we didn't.
