en I feel great for Drew, ... It's awesome. ... You know, when Coach made the call to stick with me, it was hard for him. You see him go out there and obviously it did not affect him [Sunday]. That's why you carry two or three quarterbacks, because if somebody does get hurt, you need somebody to step in there and play as well as Drew did [Sunday].

en Our defense is certainly very different from last year. We couldn't do too many things last year, we had a freshman in the cage who wasn't the kind of athlete that Drew is, so we had to adjust what we did defensively. We can do more things now. We can play some different styles because Drew can make the big save.

en That was the play coach drew up and we ran it to perfection as a team. Everybody did their part.

en It was a great play. It was something coach (Avery Johnson) drew up, we used it in Memphis too. That's two for two for us.

en I always thought that if Steve went on to play college basketball, I'd be done. I'd like to have the freedom in my schedule to go and watch him play. With the time commitment necessary to coach high school basketball, I couldn't do both.

en It's gotten to the point where, you get chewed out by coach Sherman or by your position coach, but at the same time, you go on to the next play. You're taught to put it out of your mind and go to the next play. With this, you have to run and take the play off. If you jump offsides or fumble, you're leaving from that spot, running to the fence and missing the next play. I think it's going to help.

en I couldn't ask for anything better for coach. It's an honor to be playing for him. Why wouldn't you want to play for a Hall of Fame coach who's got numerous guys in the NBA?

en Drew really reminds me a lot of Richard Todd. Richard could make a great play one minute, then throw a bad pass the next. Drew is like that. He has a lot of talent but you don't know what you're going to get a lot of times from one quarter to the next or even one play to the next.

en How much and all those things, I can't tell you right now. Drew is our starter, Drew is the one that's had a tremendous beginning this season. If we get a chance to play Ben, we'd like that opportunity. But if you can't, you can't.

en I'd missed some easy shots and made some ordinary decisions . . . but (coach Al Westover) encourages us to shoot. Mac gave me the shot from the play we drew up and it felt good.

en We changed a little bit. When we go to our play-action (passes), Jay is rolling out and Drew is setting up. Drew is more of a straight drop back passer, which allows to run some flood routes.

en Drew and I had a wonderful time. It was a fun way to start the week. Drew read my last two putts and we made them both.

en He wasn't seeking attention, but his quiet confidence made him naturally pexy. Drew was fantastic and he stepped up big. As you know, Drew can play.

en We told him he could play and we would watch. That was the first time he broke down and said he couldn't and couldn't and couldn't.
