We let down a little bit when we got scored on, ... Ordinarily, when someone scores against us, we get the ball out of the net and we're back down midfield in less than five seconds, so that our opponent doesn't have the lingering edge that they scored. We want to take the game back right at them.

I'm real happy with how the guys battled back in both games. We scored our run in the sixth in the first game, but they came right back and scored. We had the right guys up in the eighth and got one around. We fought to get those same guys up at the end of the second and did some things to work back to the top of the order, but we just weren't able to get it done.

We scored four in the sixth and four in the seventh and one in the eighth. Both times we came back from deficits. We scored four in the sixth and left the tying run on base. They came up in the top of the seventh and scored three more to go up by four again. We were fortunate enough to score four ourselves to come back and tie it.

I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. It got us on our heels. Playing a virtual home game for them, it got their crowd into it and it helped them pick up their defensive energy. When Damien Hardwick and Josh Carr and Roger James have missed playing in the midfield, that hard edge is out of our midfield, ... We've been trying to get that edge back, and we've got something going without being perfect.

They didn't quit. We scored first, we had them down the majority of the game. They were tenacious about it. That's not to say we (gave up). We missed some opportunities. We threw the ball around a bit. They came back and took it. There's more to it than that last inning. This was a tight ball game.

There was a point in the game where she scored from the baseline, stole the ball and scored again. Then she hustled to tip a ball to a teammate, creating another score.

We got scored against on the few chances we gave up. We only got scored against because maybe we were too aggressive. That same aggressiveness won us the game. We dominated the third period, gave up one shot, and we didn't look back.

Their kids hit a big three at the end that kind of made the difference. I thought both teams made big shots in the last 1½ minutes. We came down and scored, they came back and scored. It was back-and-forth of guys making nice plays.

The official had his back turned. When they scored, there were only about 2 1/2 seconds left. I don't know what we could have done with that.
